As always, they deliver those nice animation flashbacks to explain some stuff that happened in the past, which is so cool to see in this donghua. I’m at least glad that they know now that they have a very powerful Ancestral Uncle like Han Li, though he can’t really help them in times of trouble since he is only here to let go of the last remaining worldly attachments he has left. 🥲 🥲 🥲
To think they call all the stuff he left behind a family heirloom is kind of baffling to see, bro. Ngl, I’m almost teary-eyed again in this episode. It’s just so freaking wholesome, man. 🥹 🥹 🥹 Also, that stuff, he definitely recognized most of them, especially that string bracelet that he left for when his sister got married!!! Look at our boi about to cry during that moment, you can tell his eyes were watery. 😭 😭 😭
I love the fact that he is explaining to them that being a cultivator is not easy, and it could be chaotic most of the time, and it’s going to be a long and tough road for them if they do have the spiritual roots. He did say he didn’t mind taking in disciples, it’s just too bad that his side of the family doesn’t have a connection with him. At the same time, it could put their entire family in danger if they have someone trying to become an Immortal Cultivator. He learned that from experience and basically almost got himself killed in the process a lot of times. 😅 😅 😅
What’s good about Han Li is that he always says he is a rogue cultivator when he meets people, so nobody knows he actually has a family back at home. Since day one, our boi was already cautious AF fam. 🤣 🤣 🤣
Our boi at least left something for them as protection if the family does get into danger. 💪 💪 💪 Sheesh!!! Han Li, being the responsible Ancestral Uncle that he is, gave his family 3 chances to protect themselves. And like he said, no prosperity lasts forever, so it’s enough to have something like that on their hands. Our boi is wise not to give them an insane amount since at the end of the day, mortals go and die, and that’s the beauty of life. It won’t last forever, like us, we will eventually grow old and die someday, fam. 🙏 🙏 🙏
Kind of funny he made it look like a dream for them, but remember he still left a lot of stuff for them, and in the ancestral hall, including his own portrait, so that means they will believe it wasn’t just a dream but real. Han Li is trying to be sneaky but not sneaky lmao.

Ngl fam this was another emotional episode just like you said it, as always they deliver with those beautiful 2d animation when there is some explanation of a flashback of the past.
So from what i understand Li Feiyu the childhood friend of Han Li was able to live a normal life, he was also able to marry the girl that he was in love with since he was young that’s great he deserved it.
And from what was said, Han Li’s parents and his sister helped lot of orphan children and that’s how they kept the Han bloodline away from vanishing.
Fam, it was so emotional when Han Li took a look to the objects that his family left, ngl i am not a person who can cry from the outside ” its tied to my handicap ” i almost cried from the inside, when i saw the bracelet and slingshot, it brings memories of the first season when the litle sister of Han Li was running after the carriage to give the bracelet to her brother.

I found it funny that silvermoon didn’t talk a lot these past 2 episodes, i am glad that she knows her place, like she said.

This is the beauty of this donghua, even without some action scenes you can still appreciate the plot, most donghuas are not able to do that fam.
Honestly i discovered this donghua last year or at the start of this year, i don’t remember, but it always feels like it’s been years that i am watching it, that’s why it’s my favorite, with renegade immortal for the storytelling and the worldbuilding. 💪💪
This was a very wholesome and beautiful episode fam and we know Silver Moon didn’t wanna bother Han Li cause he was having his moments.

Well they have source material for like 10 years or more.. we are like at 25% of the novel atm so there is no rush i dont want my fav donghua to become slop like BTTH or other big donghuas because of poor studio choice so far the studio behind Fanren is doing superb job and hope this remains in the future.

You don’t do you descendants any favors by making things too easy for them.
Give too much and they become too big or famous, some enemy can hear the name Han and slip in the ancestral hall and see Han Li’s portrait and eradicate his whole clan like he did other clans. Also, he believes that in time all mortal dynasties come to an end eventually, so he isn’t trying to prop them up. The fact they are still around after 200 years and prosperous is incredible! He DID offer to take disciples which he NEVER does if they had youths with spirit roots, but they didn’t- can’t do much more than that as a cultivator who’s sole focus is on cultivation.

Did u even watch the episode..? i think he gave them more than enough.. he mentioned its easy for families to get wiped he doesnt want them to rise too much to get noticed by immortals and get wiped out.. also he just wanted closure so he can proceed with his immortality he doesnt rly want to have ties with them cuz it will put both in danger if they found out their connection which is why he made it look like they had a dream at the end.

It kinda sucks that the Han clan couldn’t produce a single descendant with spiritual roots (not even the worst type of False Spiritual Roots (5); Han Li has 4 Spiritual roots FYI).
Gotta love that friendship between Li & Han clans endured for centuries. I feel it was a missed opportunity to not mention Zhang Tie when they started talking about being brother disciples in the Seven Mysteries Sect (the first sect he joined).

There is definitely a lot more to Li Feiyu than even their descendants and the “present” Han Li know. Remember when he last left Li Feiyu, Li Feiyu was just learning “swordsmanship” cultivation arts though just like he, Han Li, and Zhang Tie, all 3 have spirit roots while Han Li’s was the false spirit roots though technically it’s not a bad thing at all just sucks at early stages of cultivation in the Mortal Realm because of extra resources needed but is extremely beneficial when trying to get to Diety Transformation stage after Nascent Soul Stage. People in the mortal realm of Nascent Soul and below just don’t realize how beneficial false spirit roots actually is when going beyond Nascent Soul. It’s just much harder getting to Core formation with false roots compared to others without them in the Mortal Realm, in higher realms with far more abundant origin qi, it’s not even an issue. Nascent Soul is just hard in general for anyone in the Mortal Realm, and any extra opportunities/medicines is needed.
Le Feiyu was actually a full active member of the Sect while Han Li and Zhang Tie (Zhang Tie just lacked confidence) were only members as assistants to Doctor Mo.
For him to boost his descendants and Han Li’s family to their present status is NOT something an ordinary mortal at the time can do (that sect was super poor too), it takes resources and strength/the ability to protect those resources.
Don’t read the spoiler below if you don’t want to know a little more about Li Feiyu as he won’t be mentioned again until the end of the final light novel.
