Yaaaa! Absolutely love the story and progression, because he’s a regular cultivator too! There’s plenty of enjoyment in those stories where you have these once in a generation/lifetime cultivators, but nice to get the perspective from someone who put in the work and grinded too. Han Li is a great story of perseverance and dedication!

Damn, I kind of already expected it wasn’t going to be easy, their sect is full of freaking spies, man. And it just keeps going up and letting us know that they have this many people who have infiltrated the whole sect already. These guys know how to blend in, though; I commend them for that, since they weren’t discovered for many years. Only now do they show their true colors when Han Li arrives lmao. everything that’s called bad luck literally happens every time han li is there. it’s like a machine that author use to progress the plot. han li joined yellow maple valley, used as cannon fodder by his nascent soul ancestor. he quit and teleported to scattered sea of stars, he got involved with absolute darkness island and melodious sect, even later heavenvoid cauldron and heavenvoid hall. so-called righteous and demonic and star palace, plus that starfall coalition problem. they keep coming at him. now he’s back in heavenly south, joined another sect. almost got caught in other people problem again. he’s now more skilled at slipping away for sure.
ehm yeah it’s not a real spear though. it’s the beetles. presumably controlled using his superior spiritual sense. that bald dude turns out from moulan tribe. he suspected just before his death that han li is from soaring tribe of endless sky plains. possibly the enemy of moulan bcs of that golden devouring beetles.

It’s more like Silvermoon just likes to complain a lot fam but she still has to do what Han Li is telling her since she is now his weapon spirit.
They never mentioned it in this animation, but the beetles that he used to subdue (eat) those fiery ants, kind of mutated so that they 1) never reproduced any more, and 2) became very good at temporarily combining into very useful things like weapons or armor.

In any case, Silvermoon is really something else, she’s too hilarious and always managed to make me smile/laugh — she fed the pill way too much to one person. Did she actually feed everyone of them? Cleaning the crime scene but being sloppy af, with comedic Silvermoon vibes.
Damn, I get it — they slightly changed Han Li’s character from being overly cautious with a tendency for cowardice and egoism to becoming something else. He’s still overly cautious, but now his whole being radiates kindness. And bling~~.
I’m shocked af fr now — Moulan tribe guy is here! Moulan tribe: group of spell warriors, supposedly common enemies of cultivators in general. This guy holding the bear paw is presumably the Moulan Sage or something. He made an early appearance! If I’m correct, the bald guy is called Old Man Fu. He’s known to be an elder of Hundred Possibilities Pavilion/Sect. It’s quite possible he’s set up as a spy for the Moulan (donghua only), since Han Li himself said that his self-destruction technique is not from Righteous or Demonic Dao, nor the whole Tiannan (Heavenly South) as he knows it. Moreover, that Moulan Sage guy or the savage with the bear paw said he will soon conquer Tiannan.
And then skip to Han Li’s training — as diligent as always! He’s finally completing the 4th level of the Great Development Technique. My guess now is that he can contend with mid Nascent Soul expert based on divine sense. This is an educated guess though. Han Li can hide from Fire Dragon Child, who’s at Early Nascent Soul, most likely because of his superior or comparable spiritual sense and qi suppressing art. Later on, Han Li as an early Nascent Soul expert will meet another expert on spiritual sense at mid Nascent Soul level called Marquis Nanlong. Chances are, his spiritual sense is on the level of a normal late Nascent Soul expert since he can be called a spiritual sense specialist. Silvermoon is unbearably cute; her way of complaining is way too adorable. The way Han Li shuts her trap with pills and lets her work like an auto-info broker after feeding her pills is just… sway.
Aww damn, the situation is still so tense, and yeah — in this tense situation, Han Li will form his nascent soul! Now she mentions Mu Peiling again! It seems she got a good impression of her and cares about her problems. As it turns out later, Mu Peiling is getting bullied by her family and that Yan family. Han Li, as always, glosses it over — “whatever, not my problem!” Focus: form yuanying (nascent soul)!
In any case, the next ep. preview shows a truly exciting news! We finally arrive to the awaited moment of all time! Finally! Han Li will form Nascent Soul (Yuan Ying)! Like a whole new world will open when he succeeds! The spectacle can’t be concealed at all!

Alright guys, time for your weekly suffering of my essay.
This episode can be divided into 2 halves. 1st half is the conclusion of the conflict between the Heavenly Dao Alliance’s 3 Core member Sects and the Righteous-Demonic Alliances.
The starting we can already see the Righteous and Demonic Factions fragile alliance with the Sword guy roasting Du Dong. Then we see Song Yu’s Magic weapon fly past Du Dong and exploded.
At a glance, it looked as if Song Yu is even stronger than Han Li being able to use Early Core Stage to knock 2 Peak Core Stages back. But if we forward a little, we can see there are two side-Core Stages characters following Song Yu and their only purpose is to transfer power to Song Yu to boost her attacks and defenses.
Looking at Bai (Sword guy) creating that 8 spinning swords pretending to be some kind of defensive move, but his real intentions is to get closer, this way, its harder for Song Yu, an early Core and the two weaker Side characters to react to his attack.
We can see it is very effective, when Song Yu was the only one who reacted immediately and the other 2 were a split second slower at supporting her, as a result, their shield broke
(Though from the placement of his sword is also different how Han Li use his swords as shields. The Old Swords are Swords specialists, so its not really surprising they have more techniques and strategies to use Magic Swords more effectively than a freelancer like Han Li)
Then when Song Yu launch her attack with her orb like magic weapon, we can see the two side characters transfer power to her again and she can knock Bai’s spinning swords apart. This is to show Song Yu IS very good, she’s just lacking power compared to the Late Core Stages. Back in Chaos Star Seas, Extreme Yin Island’s Middle Core Stage Wu Chou was able to low diff 2 Early Core Stages indicating that a Middle Core Stage is x2 or a bit more than x2 Early. Then as the same realm, a Late Stage should have the same edge over Middle.
(Song Yu can overcome the gap with just 2 other Early Core Stages giving her power. Just not as ridiculous as Han Li who can rival a Late Stage when he was Early Stage on his own according to Xuan Gu, a former Nascent Soul.)
We can see the gap clearly when Bai gather his swords quickly and launch it at Song Yu again, his swords make her Magic Shields shatters in an instant. Du Dong sneak attack a side character. Losing support, we can see Song Yu can’t hold up against Bai and gets knocked back immediately.
The scene switch to Huo Long (Child Nascent Soul) and Tiansha (Demonic Nascent Soul). As I mentioned in my excessively long nonsensical essay last episode, Huo Long is also fighting with handicap that is not smaller than Tiansha. We can see it clearly in this episode when Tiansha’s corrosive staff hit the Holy Tree, Huo Long stop moving and look really upset, like disturbingly upset to the point where if you go back and watch this part, you can see Tiansha was thrown off by his behavior via his Staff was actually spinning towards Huo Long when he stopped but avoided him.
From Huo Long trying to draw him away from the Tree and even used the fire dragons to chase him from behind, Tiansha quickly realized what Huo Long was trying to do and what caused Huo Long’s strange behavior. Immediately went for the tree to force Huo Long to engage him in melee at the tree.
Huo Long retaliates with a comeback saying Tiansha can’t protect Bai and Du Dong with just a spirit possession, when Tiansha ignored the life of Wei (guy under the tree in the last episode) whom he possessed to release Nascent Soul level power to break out of Huo Long’s entrapment, Huo Long figured out that he too can play the same game and went after Bai and Du Dong. Huo Long care about the Tree, Tiansha needs Bai and Du Dong to escape with their lives because they have the Tree Essence.
Meanwhile in the inner sanctums of the Barrier Protecting the most important part of the holy tree, Han Li meets Baldie (Peak Core Stage) and Han Li’s final Core Stage battle begins.
The Baldie is still trying to keep his deception up and acted like a higher up asking a lower ranking member of the Three Sects Alliance why Han Li is here.
TIn the previous episode, Han Li’s immensely powerful 8.5~8.9th Divine Sense already noticed that the Baldie was not with Song Yu, with how there’s so many spies coming after the Holy Tree, Han Li already confirmed that the guy is a spy as well and had the Great Wall of Plot Armor, Plot Pyramid, Plot Taj Mahal, Hanging Plot Gardens of Babylon, Plothouse of Alexandria, Colossus Plot of Rhodes and Plot Statue of Zeus activated.Just kidding, it’s really common sense. If Baldie is here to protect the Tree, Han Li who has been right outside most of the time would’ve seen the guy and he should be standing guard outside. Even if he is worried about the tree and wanted to check, he wouldn’t acted so suspiciously when he came inside.
Since there’s no else present and Han Li don’t even want to waste breath on him and draw out his sword. In the novel, this battle didn’t exist if I didn’t remember wrongly.
We can see the Bald guy use Puppet Birds to harass Han Li, unfortunately Han Li already had experience fighting his Sect’s style and knows how powerful their ranged firepower is. Han Li decided to play along and pretend to be a pure Melee specialist.
You can watch the episode again, against Baldie, Han Li never used any spells or ranged attacks early on. He just focused on dodging and using sword to cut through all attacks to give Baldie the wrong impression that Han Li’s true fighting style is that of a Melee Sword fighter. When the Puppet Birds transforms into a giant bird, Han Li took it out with a single swing of his sword with lightning, then charge forward to break Baldie’s defensive items with sword and brute strength.
Then when he gets close, he even use Giant Sword Skill to empower his melee to cement his image as a powerful melee in Baldie’s eyes, Han Li then threw another smokescreen, when Baldie backed away after taking a particularly nasty direct hit from Han Li, Baldie used his dual Axes to launch a Shockwave/Air Slash attack and Han Li summons 4 Flying swords to neutralize the shockwave and they get knocked away, Han Li summons 1 of the swords to dualwield to give Baldie the wrong idea that “I’m gonna go all out with double attack power, you better stay away as far as possible” While the remaining 3 swords were still on the ground.
Han Li can One Shot Baldie’s protective shields, but he keeps going for hit and run tactics, to give the false impression that Han Li has high melee attack power but low durability that’s why his fighting style ended up like this, might I remind you, he is Peak Core Stages like Bai and Du Dong, but as early as Early Core Stage, Han Li was clashing toe to toe with Late Stages level foes such as Xuan Gu and later on, basically chasing Wen Tianren around like a Boss Monster that’s intended for 100 Max Level players to fight.
“GET BACK HERE YOU WRETCH!” Han Li probably
His deception worked, Baldie really fell for it and used his Axes/Hammers? to keep Han Li busy to give himself chance to bring out his strongest ranged weapon: A Cannon type Magic Weapon and Han Li still pretending here, the shield created by his Gold Devourers was easily broken all these to lower the Baldie’s guard completely and let him think he was winning.
Han Li saw the signal when Baldie started walking towards Han Li while continuing to fire the cannon at him. Baldie is confident he is winning and is getting closer to reduce evasion space for Han Li and increasing his bombardment frequency. I’m sure Americans can explain this even better than me.
So when Han Li’s spear made out of the Devourers extend into the Cannon and disarmed the Baldie, the guy had no chance of reacting to Han Li’s disarming move and gets one shotted by Han Li’s ranged attack. That’s where the Baldie realized he got duped by Han Li, hence he said along the lines of well-played/Han Li is really good at concealing himself.
Frankly speaking, if Han Li used full force from the start, the Baldie wouldn’t be able to last for a second. But it is in character for Han Li to be extremely cautious, keep in mind, Han Li still have 3 flying swords on field that he hasn’t used. However, it is precisely this cautiousness mixed with daring which allowed Han Li to make it to the end.
When Baldie self-destruct, you can see the insignia of a new faction and the Baldie recognizing the Gold Devourers is foreshadowing as well.
Han Li gotten the notes left behind by Wei. Han Li will learn new things
They changed how Han Li managed to trick everyone from the novel by bringing back something he used in 1st 2 seasons. Quite nice to see Han Li using Forget Secular Pills again. Mu Peiling feeling suspicious. Donghua trying to make all girls have some level of resistance to the pill? Or maybe its because Silvermoon poured too much of the pills into Sun Huo while talking to him?
The guy who killed the 100 Tricks Spy reporting to him is High Shaman Mu, a member of the new antagonist faction who is at Early Nascent Soul Level. That cool looking ship made out of monster bones with hyperdrive-like ability is called Windrider Ship would certainly fit certain Li right? RIGHT?!?!?!?!
20 Years later, Han Li was 180+ years old, now he finally passed 200 years old.
The dialogue with Silvermoon is setting up for Post Nascent Soul events, including the Simp starting to turn into creep to harass Mu Peiling.
Han Li ends the episode by saying bring it on Nascent Soul! He is now ready to challenge breaking through to this long awaited level.

A couple episodes back when Huo Long exposed Bai’s identity as spy and he was in fact, the Successor Disciple of a Nascent Soul from the Righteous Alliance, Huo Long appeared to have one shotted Bai when Bai tried to take a gifted Foundation Stage student and the winner of the Sword Competition hostage.
So people thought he died. But then it was revealed in the last episode that he was alive and tried to take everyone including Han Li hostage with Du Dong, then Du Dong ‘killed’ Han Li.
I remembered Bai’s supposed to be dead there. He’s originally got killed by Old Man Fu and others. So since Old Man Fu’s identity sudden change, now we have ehm” maybe let Bai survive.
