The scene when Pyrite Buzzed boy showed up at the palace and wrecking the celebration. In this episode, was completely out of continuity. His ego is big, but he’s smart enough to know avoid angering an emperor @ his b-day party, in front of hundreds of guests over a personal issue. Would cause major problems for him and his family as well as the demon realm. And he could forget about ever seeking any kind of aid or assistance in the future.
It served no purpose. He could of shown later in the celebration. How did know our boi was even going to be there since it was a spur of the moment decision to go?
Every time I see a family attack the victor of a battle their family member was defeated in. I shake my head in disgust @ the director. Because the reality of it is they’re making him lose face and the battle he lost was fought was in vain. They try to make it look like revenge, but the only time revenge is actually due is when it was a one sided fight or the victor was a the aggressor in the show. Anyway, great episode fam.

For the first time ever, I think, this episode has its merits, they captured many points in the fight that reflects the essence, but they are still unsatisfying imo.. 😫 😓 😒

Golden Winged Little Peng King started first with 108,000 swords that rain of swords was moved to the middle.. Not that I complain, probably they’re being used to shorten the fight or something. Let’s see~ Actually this is a warming up moves. Actually what they did in donghua letting them exchange hand-to-hand combat moves, actually weapon combat is not bad either… And in the novel, Ye Fan used endless golden ocean (also irregular phenomenon) and green lotus to block this move… Also Ye Fan can use that green lotus as a swinging weapon to cut down those 108,000 swords. I think those swords are probably made up of his feathers and can transform into sky peng themselves. Getting cut like that will injure little peng king vitality. 🗡⚔🔪🩸🩸🩸
Honestly, in this donghua episode, after exchanging few combat moves and suddenly executing his ultimate moves: Heavenly Roc (Peng) Seizing Dragon Technique (Tian Peng Bo Long Shu), is a bit unreasonable.. 😒 like suddenly everything goes to climax or get peaked. So.. in comparison to the novel, he used great desolate halberd after the swords. This halberd is a terrifying/vicious weapon of saints that interweave dao and reason. Now Ye Fan used his irregular phenomenon called “Immortal King descends from Ninth Heaven” that gigantic golden figure. This one is actually the same with this episode in order of usage! 🔥
But then, in the novel actually Little Peng King is also impatient and wanted fast results (he’s also unreasonable there, pretty consistent between donghua and novel on this one), he immediately executed this Heavenly Roc Seizing Dragon Technique after his latest move got countered by Ye Fan’s irregular phenomenon of golden giant. There are intricacies to this technique: diagram and saint technique. Diagram is the same with irregular phenomena, but since Sacred Body can restrain all irregular phenomena in the world, he instead displays Dragon Seizing Saint Technique. 😬😣😒😒
Okay so.. this move of saint technique is dangerous enough, according to novel, even Ye Fan feels a bit overwhelmed resisting with his flesh only. So he decided to use battle saint technique and yes.. the bronze coffin reappears! He doesn’t evolve it to the extreme (many variation and many changes) because he wanted to keep it secret from the crowd, which is why he keeps using the bronze coffin, nine dragon pulling the coffin move from battle saint technique~ He fought like this for 3000 rounds.. ⚔🔪🔪⚔⚔🩸🩸
Turns out, after that move failed.. he used heavenly demonic saint slaughtering art – first style, that first style/move is merging the heavenly peng manifestation into his brows and make himself an evolution of dao. It’s the same with that red body manifestation in donghua. Ok, so just based on this actually, Little Peng King is already in the same caliber with Hua Yunfei, ofc the real Hua Yunfei described in novel not the sloppy one described by donghua. In response, Ye Fan must use his taiji diagram from battle saint technique to let yin and yang fishes soared together to the sky like a dragon, each holding a dao diagram. Here he just sorta defended passively from red spirit bomb and that elder from ji family said that he suppressed the move. I mean wtf, isn’t it more like he somehow managed to endure and emerge unscathed? 🦅🦅💥⚡
For second move, he turned into peng head and human body, like ancient demon god with scepter that causes endless rain of light from the void with each swing. In donghua, Little Peng King released that large scepter to flatten Ye Fan. So yeah even from the second move, Ye Fan was already in a trance without distracting thoughts, unlike donghua version who suddenly gave him enlightenment at 4th move.. Here, he keeps evolving yin and yang of taiji diagram with battle saint technique! his hands are representation of yin and yang divine points of great dao of taiji. yang diagram give birth to a bit of yin and yin diagram give birth to a bit of yang. this is called embodiment of extreme changes of the Dao~ His left hand represented True Yin evolved a huge black hole.. Ok so this is actually not a dependent art from taiji evolution, unlike what they did in donghua. 🙄🤔🧐😤😅😏😒
Ok so.. in donghua Little Peng King was not given chances to release third move. And Ye Fan also tore the wings with his bare hands. In novel, Little Peng King realized that Ye Fan is terrifying so he forcefully used third move immediately after second move to ensure Ye Fan is dead for real. Third move was not described in detail according to the novel, it described as nine great waves that made Ye Fan cornered to death. When Ye Fan was cornered, he managed to understand life and death mystery of taiji diagram, letting him collide his right hand – true yang (ten suns) and left hand – true yin (black hole). Here he evolved his dao step by step. It’s a progress in making. This is annihilation power that overturns heaven and earth. 💥😱
At this time, novel Ye Fan immediately prevents Little Peng King from executing the fourth move. And he managed to tore his enemy’s right arm. Little Peng King wanted to self-destruct that’s why Ye Fan immediately retreated. If not, Ye Fan will continue to pummel him to death for sure. Little Peng King wanted to release the 4th move again but Ye Fan collide his hands to create True Yin and True Yang collision again. Afterwards, he pursued the enemy and destroyed Little Peng King’s left arm. During this time, Little Peng King actually managed to execute the 4th style of Heavenly Demonic Saint Slaughtering Art. It looks like he summoned his ancestors for real, but it might be an embodiment of great dao laws as well. 💪👊👊🤛🤜⚔🦅
So, yeah donghua Ye Fan looks a bit dumb in comparison, he’s freakin’ watching as Little Peng King actually released the 4th move. I mean he stopped the 3rd move but he watched as the enemy unleashed 4th move? And somehow the 4th move felt less bloody than it should be. Remember corpses (ancient saint corpses) lying on the ground on the previous episode? It’s supposed to be the phenomena happening when he executed the 4th move. So, I believe this is his guarantee to slay Ye Fan for real, which is why Little Peng King is so impatient to kill Ye Fan. 💀🩸🧐☠
That bastard is too much, not only he wants to trample on others after trying to snatch what’s not his, he wants himself to be famous while laughing on others blood price. 🩸🩸🩸Moreover, Fenghuang princess seems to support this rash and reckless Little Peng King, so weird. It was said that his hands represent true yin and true yang. His body bent down like a dragon turning into that yin yang dividing line! Using this move, Ye Fan broke through the limit of speed as his body turned into a dragon shaped curve – dao trace! 🔥 🔥 🔥 Moreover, Ye Fan used this move several times to totally incapacitate Little Peng King. So not only the enlightenment moment is different from the donghua, the execution is also different. Literally it means the meaning of the move is totally different. Yep.. They’re totally scrapping Chen Dong’s work at this point~ 🙄😮😥😤😤😢
In donghua, Ye Fan was enduring with green lotus manifestation and black hole, which is kinda acceptable, but that pause in the end is a bit unjustified. Moreover, the true yin and true yang forms a domain formed from yin yang taiji diagram and the dividing line of the taiji diagram became a freakin’ sword light. Oh right, don’t forget that flashback stuff.. I guess donghua wants to invest in many things that’s totally not related to enlightenment and actually leads people to death for real during real combat.. I mean how can u have flashback and enlightenment at the same time? Oh yeah understanding life and death lol~ But what can I say? I totally have no opinion. Other than feeling a bit strange for that split second where Ye Fan’s face changed when he was bound by those red vines. What are those? 😑🙄😣🤔🤔🤨🤨
Ah yes, donghua didn’t tell you guys but Ye Fan managed to feel the killing intent of Old Peng King. If he landed the finishing move, that old guy will definitely kill him. That’s why he didn’t. He secretly tell Black Emperor to lay down a formation to leave with him if anything untoward happens. So yeah Little Peng King is alive after only having his head left. But in novel, Old Peng King destroyed Little Peng King’s body and asked him coldly do you know why he lost? Old Peng King wants to kill Little Peng King. Only after the stimulation of killing intent, Little Peng King managed to regain his calm and finally understand why he lost. And yeah old guy said that if Little Peng King didn’t pass the nine trials set by his clan saint, he should never come to the world again. I guess they totally soften things in donghua. Yep so soft, even the fight logic became soft and malleable. Ugh I am unhappy with this. 🥱🤐😨😬
Finally the introduction of Human World Fortress and God-Slaying Dynasty. In donghua there seemed to be respite moments. But in novel, those assassins immediately attacked Ye Fan after the Old Peng King left! I guess donghua wants to give small background story first before that happens.. who knows? 🤔 🙄 😎 Funny in donghua they’re finally discussing Ye Fan throwing up blood while those acts has been pretty rare or forgettable during these latest episodes in front of other people~ 😅 🤣 🤣

Bro fam you know they did everything to fit it in one episode here. But I know you wanted them to maybe make like 2-3 episodes which they don’t have the luxury or time to do. I also know you want them to basically copy and paste everything written in the novel but we already talked this that it will never be 100% fam. We should be glad that they are animating this for us bro, instead of complaining cause you know already those things are useless.
I know you also try to compare every donghua to the novel fam cause they say it’s an adaptation from the novel. But if we are being honest here it’s the story of the novel is what they are following trying to adapt and they didn’t really say they are going to adapt everything in the novel anyway. They always just say it’s an adaptation in the novel. That’s why we have manga, novel readers and people who don’t do those and having all kinds of mixed opinion cause not everyone will be the same fam. At the end of the day we all agree and disagree on a lot of stuff because of this.
which is why i’m saying that there’s good and bad adaptation. this episode has indeed go to the better spectrum of adaptation but.. the enlightenment moment disappoints me.. as they changed the substance. so yeah feel free to disagree.. some changes are always bad.. since this episode of donghua is apparently independent, sort of, from previous episodes, not gonna complain much.. but still, some of them are great some others are not.. i believe they can make things better actually.. but who knows? i mean if u say this on the background that they’ve been doing good adaptations so far, i’m going to shut up, but so far they’re destroying the originally good story with an adaptation that has no consistency. so yeah… what abt it? lol~
I mean I don’t have complains about it fam cause remember I don’t read novels like at all. I guess at the end of the day not everyone will have the same imagination as you when you read stuff in a story that doesn’t have images to follow. In how they do these things will always be up to the people animating them fam. I mean if their are some changes that you didn’t expect then that definitely is because of them.
i dunno abt imagination. surely if they were described vaguely in the original story we have some degrees of freedom. but since the description was pretty specific, why would u change well established stuff into something different? it’s incomprehensible~ oh i know they want to get a mass outrage 😂😂 nope probably they’re trying to make things look cool and making ye fan bent his body like a dragon to unleash the attack beyond the limit of speed might be awkward for them since they’re unable to make it.. actually idk the real reason, i’m just saying.. 🙄🙄 also u know that the plot and story details from donghua adaptation was not consistent on its own right? so yea even from pure donghua standpoint i don’t know what can we say to defend that.. so yea.. 🙂 🙂

I guess that is also why when we see people have a deep discussion about an anime it turns into a heated debate fam. It’s cause when they do the opinions will always be mixed since we have people who read the manga only, the anime and then those people that read the light novel. At the end of the day people can only agree or disagree which is better and real. 😅😅😅
