also.. i mean wtf hua yunfei was truly revealed just like that… and where is li ruoyu who’s supposed to protect ye fan against that dao protector who suddenly appear? i don’t want to complain but, the plot logic is nowhere here. what do i expect from donghua? well this is 16 min donghua though…
okay so.. even till the end, hua yunfei is supposed to be able to dodge the bullet. people has been suspicious, but he has yet to bite the final bullet. he still insisted on defending his innocence ‘kay.. plus, he’s not that easily pressured to use ruthless inheritance. check ch 444, 445 until 448. Ye Fan needed to use nine ancient characters from dao scripture inheritance to suppress Hua Yunfei and all his irregular phenomena fused into one (or at least being used altogether) and even more! To even force Hua Yunfei to use his demonic arts is already very tough, compared to this, the description in donghua is pale in comparison.
So, the art that Hua Yunfei is using is called “One Thought, Hundred Flowers Bloom” in novel it’s called Art of Ten Thousand Transformations — technique to turn all the divine into mortals. Hua Yunfei’s technique is everchanging and has no fixed form! What do you think this is? It’s similar to Battle (Dou) Secret Word! it’s created by Ruthless to counter this art. But then Ye Fan is using “Dou” to fight against this art of ten thousand transformations. And yes, Ye Fan summoned that coffin. Nine dragons pulling bronze coffin. He used this not once, but multiple times! And he’s using this to conceal the fact that he cultivated Battle Saint Technique! well i suppose now ye fan is too snobbish to even try to conceal himself, donghua changes… one of my fav character is ruined. last time my boi showed off in front of jiang yichen unnecessarily.
He even use the technique to transform into Heaven Devouring Jar. At some point, Ye Fan begin to use his Taichi Divine Technique (transformed from Battle Saint Technique – he made yin yang fish dancing via his palm), the art that he had been pondering since he came to this world. (I hope u remember that Ye Fan doing Taichi Fist at some point after killing that Elder from Lingxi dongtian). Yes, after this point in battle, Hua Yunfei starts using: “One Thought, Hundred Flowers Bloom, Sovereign Descends” here, it’s called Facing the World. He almost suppressed Ye Fan at this point, but Ye Fan used “All” character to increase his yin and yang fish dancing.
Well at this point Ye Fan is chasing Hua Yunfei until his protector appeared. But… my point being. Not many people recognize Ruthless inheritance even if it’s in front of their eyes. And the battle in donghua is too lackluster even though the animation is colorful. They sorta want to conclude this battle way too quickly. They ended up nerfing Hua Yunfei and making Ye Fan’s development/growth compromised, yet again! Remember the part where they decided to delay Ye Fan’s progress in cultivation just to insert a so-called exciting subplot?

I think we all know the assistant herb picker is him trying to get all of their attention fam. I mean even Ji Ziyue thought that was real. 😅😅😅 This was his strategy into baiting all of them to be in one place especially Hua Yunfei. I also think it was some sort of farewell gathering sort of thing since Ye Fan is well known all around all of them gathered in one place just to say goodbye.
The other changing parts must be cause it’s the donghua version fam idk why they keep changing stuff maybe it’s because they only get so little time when they release an episode and they can’t put it all in one episode. Ngl, if that was the case they should probably take time into making it long but that means they have to release more episodes because of it. And I don’t think these guys will have the time and money for it. Since from what it looks like they already have a deadline to get too..
Also, yeah like you said they made the battle fast paced and ended it quickly, like they are speed running the shit out of it. At the end of the day we can’t really do anything about it fam.

Ye Fan went up to them and directly attacked.” Yandu here is possibly Yan Capital. and him attacking immediately is a way to screw up all those complicated plans they nurtured whatsoever. So.. my point being? why would they gather audience? actually the audience is already there and there’s no need of the letter of herb picking shit. ye fan can just attack and that’s it. and donghua can focus more on the fight rather than “presentation”. it’s totally not acceptable they do this. do you remember the time they nerfed shi hao when donghua made “saving yun xi” episode? welp.. the fans totally rioted. they should. i mean. why are they not rioting? the thing is.. even with all those accumulation, ye fan can only somewhat rival shi hao at the very end of the story. now they nerfed him and his opponent. moreover i still remember the stunt from the last week that hag saying things that didn’t happen at all in donghua about getting burned to half death.

Yeah, I always read the last parts of every episode since they give out lore and information about stuff. Remember other donghuas do this type of stuff as well. But the sad part is not everyone translates it though only Xin.

Now CN novel fans feel what comic fans feel when they bring stuff to live action to nerf and change everything. Is it some type of censorship or its some arrogant director that want to put their stamp on it? Just about every popular Donghua got butchered from the novel. Maybe Mortal’s Journey not changing that much.
So I think RMJI is still the best, both in the manhua, donghua, and novel versions. Although there are differences in scenes, the core plot is still the same, and tends to be made slower and more detailed in donghua, then in the drama immortal ascension, there are even several dialogues that provide explanations that I didn’t even understand when reading the novel or donghua, and it seems like the donghua team is not worried about the budget or longer episodes, because they remain consistent with the pace of the plot
nah.. idk if i’m biased or what. but i agree. RMJI is the best. second best is RI. but honestly, PW and STH are supposed to be as great as well, but the producers didn’t do good adaptation. The thing is RMJI has lots of variables and if you put all of them into donghua, it will waste even more episodes. But what I like from RMJI is that, they did the adaptation properly in a lot of ways. let’s just say that PW is lacking bcs the director is changing from time to time. STH is one that butchered novel for the reason having too many variables or unable to keep up with watch time. RMJI did plot change, but only small ones. moreover, what they did was amazing if you make a detailed review. in comparison, butchered version of STH full of plot holes are regrettably, trash, compared to this. i mean STH got so much potential. it’s hard to discuss everything in one breath. if u’re novel reader of STH, u know lots of small plots are a preparation of the author to prepare for some big event in the future. i believe that RMJI has this kind of perk as well. they have things that are seeds of future plots and they’re handled properly, unlike STH donghua.
as for rmji drama, immortal ascension, i haven’t seen it. is it that good?
