Part 2 of our boi’s trials, and as always the visuals are very beautifully made. It never ceases to amaze me when a new episode comes. This Donghua just gives that kind of hype, sheesh!!! 🔥🔥🔥Gotta love that each of their trials has some sort of meaning for Qin Mu. It’s not just any normal test that a person goes through. A lesson on each individual that he has learned from, it’s like they are already leaving a legacy for him.
NGL, but it almost made me cry when the village chief said he doesn’t have that much time to live either, damn. He is already prepared to leave everything to Qin Mu. Even gave him his valuable sword technique, which means he is serious. And the different styles he has learned make him a unique character altogether. Qin Mu is basically an all-rounder who will be able to do a lot of stuff along the way.
Finally, our boi’s adventure begins!!! 🥲🥲🥲 That farewell they did, it’s like watching your kid go to college and eventually you won’t see them again for a while. I mean this is his only family for now, since his parent’s whereabouts are kind of unknown atm. The monkey and even the little snake Xian Qing’er are doing ok. So I hope we get to see them again eventually. At least in this journey, he isn’t alone, he has that little white fox with him.

I can imagine Qin Mu using this exact scene/move and poetry in his fight against the current Emperor that attacked them 7-8 episodes ago. But he needs lots of rank ups before that.

Some notes: The technique village chief showed (Sword Map) could be better translated as Sword Painting.

Every elders painstaking effort to raise Qin Mu is incomparable. That’s why they couldn’t bear to part with him. Afterall a young bird has to leave it’s nest, learn to fly, survive in the world.
Visuals are just otherworldly. Definitely sticking to the end.
I love the love they have for him and the pride they have in him. It”s gonna be rough on them when he’s gone beyond their protection.
