It’s an alt universe. People do this all the time with stories/comics/manga/etc. Marvel comics I stg each hero story has like 20 alts. Same for DC Comics. Batman has all the alt incarnations just like Spiderman lolol. I guess the writers were like “what if” and we know its not a prequel of season one because the entire setting is different. All her arch enemies now demons with elf ears lolol. She’s no longer a god and her old gf Chiyang is dead and Bai, who if you recall was the leader of the crystalline people, is now a pilot & her new bestie and her crystal placement is different and related to her clans specific magic. Very cool!
