Mc did get framed in the end, but a monk using his brain n actually figuring out it wasn’t Mc but someone from the Crown-prince faction was good to see
They did a Marvelous job at showing us the Monk-dude experiencing cruelty of the real-world n deciding to take matters into his own hands instead of just preying 🔥 🔥
So someone IS actually causing the unending calamities! 🤬
Now I’m just waiting to see him/her getting butchered by someone 😈🔥
Wohhohoooooo!! The next arc preview was soo Fire!! 🤩 🔥 🔥
Yeah they already said the heavens were causing the disasters because they want Yankang to revert the reforms
You mean ‘they want people to suffer like they used to’ 😑
I’m actually curious how far into the heavenly/beyond mortal realms will be explored in this story
Because so many cultivation donghua focus on one or the other but very rarely do they explore both in details instead of it just brushed in passing, it’s actually becoming a rather bland trope
I hope this donghua and Jian Lai will change that
Yeah, there are a few that shows other realms. For some reason the Heaven/Divine realm is the most mysterious. But we get all this backstory about hell and the demon realm. I hope this doesn’t exclude them when they are CLEARLY sabotaging the land with a giant gord in the clouds.
there was that one, trying to remember the name, I think Mystery of 10,000 Worlds or something like that? Started on mortal world, went to fairy realm, talked about god realm that would have been he next step, but there was a side-quest in some quasi-fairy realm, and it was cancelled before they got to the god realm. Then there’s Against The Sky Supreme that started in the mortal world and went to the god realm, but both that show and the other move sooooo slowly
Yet again Monks proving they are not good people and just do what benefits their merits, no matter the truth. Then that poor monk seeing what the world really is like, and that it means nothing to have all those principals and ideals, if they dont provide basics for the average person.
Tha Monk-dude’a gonna have a great character developments! 🔥
Crappy sect for sure, but a total vibe whenever they’re on screen
I have seen this theme of the righteous path being evil in so many donghua so far. I think they’re trying to show the parallels with real life, where so many bad things are happening, but no matter how many people suffer and die, the deities (depending on which one you believe in) are just letting it happen, or even causing it through natural disasters.
True, true 🫠
Righteousness and hypocrisy go hand in hand, and they pretty much always have. “Goodness” is a virtue, but when that goodness becomes a path to power, like you see in the clergy of so many religions, it can easily become a performance rather than the truth.
…It’s virtue signaling, basically. Acting good for power, for respect, and so on, even if that goodness doesn’t reflect your true feelings.
just gotta say that any scene with the Daleyin Sect is a whole vibe in and of itself, even if they are mostly useless. This show has amazing sound and visual design that puts it beyond any other show I’ve seen to date, IMO
Yea, they put soo much effort into everything even if it’s just for coupla eps 🔥
Let’s get started
One of my favourite Donghua
Can someone give me the cultivation levels of this Donghua…
no clue feels like bro been stuck since forever
🤣

After this episode an all out clash next week and the next. . . That would gonna be fun. . .
It’s definitely not just the next week episode preview, is it? it looks more like a new promo for upcoming arc/ episodes.
Yup, the coming arc’s gonna be soo Awesome!! 🔥🔥
After what happened in the previous episode we know things are about to heat up in this one. 😅😅😅
Fam, it’s great hat we got some lore drop about the snow disaster.
And the preview at the end, seems to be for the next arc. 🔥🔥
I’m always up for what crazy stuff they have for us in the next episode fam. 🔥🔥🔥
You’re full of jokes, I see. Heating up while a god is causing a fucking blizzard.
Welp, you know trouble is bound to happen in this place fam
I wish the studio adapt the next episodes from the novel closer/precisely as they can, it’s a massive all out war and a moment for Qin Mu to solidify his status in the Empire. . . The gravity of aura from all the experts present the weight of large scale battle dang if you can imagine that scene it’s a goosebumps. . .

NOW the little monk can see that its his people and other sects and cultivators like them with the same view on the actions of heaven are wrong because they have such high cultivation so they should be able to see what’s happening to the people outside their mountains and sects but they do nothing to help ease the burden or fight for the people, instead all they do is advocate for getting back in line with the will of the heavens instead stand up against them even with how ruthless they are for some shit that doesn’t really affect them
Man, I still find it so strange that this is a story that flips the normal dynamic wuxia/xianxia factions, where in this story all of the factions you normally see in wuxia stories are elevated to xianxia levels of power so instead of just martial arts, there’s straight up immortal techniques and the most striking detail, in other stories were the orthodox faction is mostly good with a bit of corruption and hypocrisy here and there, the unorthodox ranging from petty criminals to down right proper evil organizations but some having some good guys here and there and then the heavenly demon sect just being completely unredeemably evil and orthodox and unorthodox having to join hands to fight heavenly demon, in this story its reversed.
Here, the heavenly demon sect are actually just straight up the good guys, were all of there departments use cultivation based on a normal daily labor because they want to make the daily work of normal people easier by giving them a way to turn the mundane into the extraordinary and the orthodox and unorthodox are just increasing levels of evil going from shiny on the surface and they’ll do some good when daddy heaven says its okay but they are rotten on the inside best example being Daleiyin, first exhibit, killing Grandpa Ma’s family to try to get him to come back, second glaring exhibit, Rulai instantly knowing that it was a lie that Qin Mu killed the Zen Child but punished Longbrows for lying but not stopping him from going to kill Qin Mu and knowing it was Crown Prince’s men that did it, all so he and those of his view benefit from Prince’s schemes. Going from that level to just being down right evil raising poisonous insects or deadly giant snakes, killing any and everybody or founding a whole sect dedicated to summoning demon gods into the world but they all parrot the same shit when it come done to it. Return to Will of Heaven. Bro even the beggar’s sect in this world is evil
And the only ones who don’t pull this kinda bulkshit is the HOLY sect because all of there methods and philosophies are ultimately about that are opposite of heaven’s will, even though yes their techniques have the tendency to make people do heinous shit to practice them, that can ultimately come down to those people not understanding the scriptures properly and just going with their base, sinister understanding because that’s kind of person they are to begin with and they don’t have the patience or sincerety actually find a way to practice the technique without doing something bad. The heavens are unjust so should they be followed, like the reason Yankang is the state its in is because the reforms the state preceptor did are in line with the methodology of the heavenly demon sect and the ones upstairs don’t like that, they are actively doing something to perpetuate the disaster. Literally one of those things against heaven’s will is treating everybody somewhat equally even in education and cultivation
Yup, very messed up 😐
Wait Daleiyin were the killer of one handed monk grandpa’s family? (I watched this on a worse subtitled source initially lol) That is insane
Why tf would they want him to be Rulai then…?
Because, according to them, it was a mistake and grandpa Ma should get over it as fast as he can so he can lead the sect. After all, his family didn’t truly die. They just shed their mortal skins since that was their fate. Did I mention it was a mistake and they expect him to get over it?
I think that Hevenly Saint Cult being strict good guys breaks the nuance of this story.
Bro I hate Rulai so much, out of all of the cultivators who are hypocrites in this story, he is the biggest. He instantly knows that guy is lying and that it was the Prince’s men who were responsible but because he wants the prince to have the ability to overturn what his dad and state preceptor did and wants to take the opportunity to “guiltlessly” kill the holy master, he’ll just act like he doesn’t see what he’s seeing. he’s a whole bitch
And I also hate how the master of the little monk just intentionally twists all of Qin Mu’s action to being “the twisted actions of the heavenly devil master” where he just evaluated what the monk had done and just told him that his remixing was just making him more wrong and he should stick to the original scripture more to gain more understanding and go see the world to actualise it, but the older monk is like “oh he’s ussing his devil ways to confuse my disciple” man go suck an egg
Fortunately his disciple went outside the mountain, he witnessed and experienced the mess, brutallity and cruelty of the outside world, and that opens his eyes of is the true path of buddhism
🔥
Ye the Daleiyin elites are just bitches here lmao
no way state preceptor is going to fight he gods damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
So many donghuas are peaking right now which makes the week long wait even more painful
‘oh what a tangled web we weave..’
W BGM
That promo got me hyped for the upcoming episodes.
I felt a tiny bit bad (just a smidge) for the Zen boy.
Righteous sects, are they?

I’ve been intermittently fasting for years, my longest fast was 21 days, and you don’t really become rabid or ravenously hungry when you are starving. In fact, after day 3 or 4 you stop caring about food and get use to the feeling.
What does happen, which can be kind of spooky, is that you get more and more lethargic every day in way that you know your body is starting to shut down for good.
I guess my point is, if there are real world examples of people acting like this, it’s not due to starvation, it’s due to knowing they are going to die if they do not eat. Starvation with the knowledge that everything will be all right is actually pretty chill.
You’re discounting the fact that they’re dealing with a perpetual blizzard for about a year now. Also, they’re fucking poor. They didn’t have much meat (fat) on their bones to begin with, and their clothes are shit. Now add the fallout of a plague, and you get a recipe for fuck shit.
Fool around and find out later moment
i predict this jr monk will take over as the next rulai and will bring significant changes in daleyin sect
Nice episode. Remind me of my favorite Jin Yong novel The Smiling, Proud Wanderer. Nostalgic.
Eyy
Boring episode
good episod👍🔥
I don’t care how hungry someone is, you don’t turn cannibal, PERIOD. If it was up to me I’d wipe out anyone who did it, they’re not people anymore but rabid animals and demons that need 2b put down.
why do you say the most weirdest stuff imaginable? Were you dropped on your head as a child?
The only one who needs to be put down here is YOU. 🫵
There’s the hand that the human emperor’s gotta chop.
That old monkey was stopping his disciple from leaving because he knew the hypocrisy of Daleiyin would come to light. As a ‘righteous’ sect, they haven’t even done a quarter of what Heavenly devil sect has done for the people. All they do is yap all day about good and evil. Not realizing that they themselves are truly the evil ones. I bet they are the ones who changed the saint (Heavenly saint/devil sect) into devil. Just thinking about it makes me so mad.
Also I’m wondering why this crown prince is walking around thinking he can easily eliminate Qin Mu with his half-baked plans. As the human emperor, doesn’t QM hold more power? I know grandpa said he had no real power but if he wanted to, and was evil enough, wouldn’t he make the crown prince obey him? Even the current emperor? The only reason they would resist is because of the gap in their powers but if he was strong enough, he’d actually do it. Right?
ofc the bald hypocrite was the culprit, what a surprise
