Can’t we get one character that is introspective enough to say “I lose, this is my fault for biting off more then I could chew, I won’t bother you anymore, so please spare me.”

For a culture that seems to put a lot of importance on shame and public imagine, it’s amazing how shameless almost every single character is in these stories. And for cultivators whom are searching for their Dao, it’s amazing how arrogant, narcissistic, and delusional they are. You can’t find your path if you are constantly lying to yourself or relying on others.
