Ikr, they always make it so soul-stirring. This is one of the rare episode without a single fight but it still gives you goosebumps-raising moments. Now whoever says PW is all fights and no substance, they should either watch this episode or gtfo. In fact, on the whole, PW has improved a lot. It sure peaked at the Battle of the Seven Gods arc and sadly started going downhill a bit after that, but now the studio is really picking themselves up and making strides.
Bruh it never went downhill, everything he did and everyone he fought they was always a reason , it’s just critics not understanding the plot or story , Yes PW is filled with action and fight scenes but that’s his story , his foundation is layed on top countless battles … So don’t downgrade a story cause of other people’s critics
I never use other people’s judgement or critics on my fav show. PW is one of my fav novels and donghuas of all time. I’m purely judging it based on two points:
1.) Minor: The show was missing a lot of important narrative in the middle part. That’s why non-novel readers find it hard to understand. But it’s still somewhat acceptable for me because I have the overview others don’t.
2.) Major (unforgivable): Shi Hao’s character setting and development is seriously wanting. He’s not being fleshed out properly—his shamelessness has been removed and his sense of humour, flattened. The studio even had the audacity to portray him as a love struck puppy, shifting the focus from Shi Hao’s cultivation journey to a CP love story just to ingratiate some crazy NPC fandom. This was when the viewership ratings of PW started nosediving in China. But I think the Studio has learned their lessons and they have now shifted their attention back to SH, giving him more dialogues and sarcastic retorts.
Maybe because of how much I love PW, I tend to see it more critically. For those shows that I dislike, I won’t even waste time judging it.
Yeah true I totally understand, I read the novel some years back and yeah the studio did ruin his character in a way ,heard they changed the screen writers or some shii like that .. so hope they portray everything excatly especially the emotions and battles …
At least we still have about 3/4 years still it finishes so let’s just see what awaits us at this point .. as the for none novel readers … They can still enjoy the donghua the way it’s portrayed facts ….Shi Hao has everything an Mc needs even more …. Well it might not be the best for some people but it’s def a good show …
Yes, it is a good show! It would have been better had they not deviated from the original character setting. But what’s done is done. We can only keep our fingers crossed for consistently good episodes in the future. So far, it has not disappointed me. I mean the battle with He Wushuang was so frigging epic, I’m still having goosebumps just thinking about those scenes.
And yes, they finally got rid of the screenwriter that was unfairly bias towards that particular NPC character. Who knows what he was thinking. Maybe he thought that the crazy fandom can bring up the viewership rating but instead it slapped him in the face. PW used to be #1 since BTTH crumbled but after the movie version came out, it plummeted and even lost the top five positions. A lot of original novel fans started voicing up and threatening to boycott PW.
From the failed “movie version”, the studio finally woke up, they understood now, active fandom does not guarantee good universal reception and approval because PW is ALL about Shi Hao. If they neglect to give the MC his due focus and attention, the whole show will collapse. But thank god, PW managed to climb back to the top three recently.
Ultimately, PW is about Shi Hao and not Shi Hao’s love story with x character. And as much as the crazy NPC fandom tries to deny, PW is a harem story, Shi Hao has fallen for three ladies at different times but his greatest love is still the broken world he lives in, together with all the imperfection that comes with it.
Fam, the Wang clan is really annoying, especially the elders.
Like, that one elder who started to talk badly to Shi Hao and his brother, especially when he called them sin blood. 😒😡
Then after he says something like ” if we didn’t have the same enemy to fight against, i would teach you a lesson ”
l was like ” hey yo, you are the one who is lucky, because there is a war starting, otherwise Shi Hao will be cooking and eating you ” 😡
Yeah Liu Shen we miss her fam, she’s like a mother figure and i like the way she’s written.
I like the scenes where Shi Hao was remembering all the people he met on his road even Huo Ling’er, she was beautiful in the flashback.

Shi Yi’s and Shi Hao’s motivations are kind of the same. Shi Hao’s goal is to defeat all enemies past, present, and future while Shi Yi believes that having Dual Pupils is already an invincible path, and that his way is to crush all enemies.
Both of them are freaks of nature. You should know that people like the Ten Crown King, Ning Chuan, or Jin Zhan are often hundreds or even thousands of years old, yet Shi Hao and Shi Yi are only in their twenties, and they are still able to match ancient freaks who have lived for thousands of years.
Too bad Shi Yi doesn’t like to show himself, so not many people are aware of his true battle power. In terms of combat strength, he is almost always second only to Shi Hao, and he is one of the very few who can match Shi Hao in hand-to-hand combat.

Don’t worry, Shi Yi’s moment will come. There’s a reason why Shi Yi and Shi Hao are being gifted with double pupils and supreme bone (and not that lil’ jerk of a brother Qin Hao). They are meant to be invincible. It’s like heaven’s compensation for the Shi Clan. Actually, every person in the PW’s world owe their lives to the Shi family.
