I think for my own head canon, I’m going to assume Ye Fan explicitly asked all these powerful figures to not use their influence to shield him, so he could lay out a trap to gather all of his enemies in one go. And I’m going to assume these very old and well informed organizations were somehow tricked into thinking Ye Fan didn’t have any staunch support outside of the dying king dude, despite all of the evidence that would suggest Ye Fan has a lot of powerful friends…
