I haven’t read the novels so i don’t know what parts come from where but it’s lazy writing. It’s like the author couldn’t write a meaningful relationship development and just went back to square one with the memory thing. From what I read of people who read the following Soul Land novels they’re basically more of the same: rehash, bling, outdo.. and the first SL remains the greatest.
Not saying they’re not good but.. 🤷🏻♀️

The lost memory trick was also used in Soul land 1, so you are right when you talk about the rehash, i have read lot comment reddit about the author and lot of fans of his novels pointed out that when it comes to romance or relationship that author always uses the same patterns and i deas. 🤦🤷
