this arc is by far the best among all arc in the entirety of Renegade immortal. its so heart touching. they shouldn’t have altered this.

There is a lot of drama to be had in the original, but what we are left with in the show seems quite a bit shallower.
I am not really interested in the litature of these shows, so I can’t say I really apperciate the lost, but it’s pretty damn obvious that it would have made the relationship between Wang Lin and Liu Mei more interesting, it would have made Liu Mei motivations/hatred towards Wang Lin more interesting, and obviously it would have been interesting to have Wang Lin be confronted with the uncomfortable reality that his own son was left to such a miserable fate.
As it stands in the show, Liu Mei isn’t anything more than the trope of “Bad guy becomes irrationally angry because the MC dared to defend themselves” and w/e stupid reasoning they come up with to explain why Wang Lin would care about a small wisp of his soul that he never noticed was taken, or they scrap that entire plot all together.
For someone that’s getting more prepared and cautious like Han Li, it would be surprising Wang Lin never realised his wisp of soul and blood essence was stolen… 🤷♂️

I love this show, but it is so jarring if you watch Soul Land 2 first, who has actual Fullscreen. And then you watch RI or BttH and there are two massive black bars at the top and the bottom of the screen.
Effectively removing half of my screen size. And when i zoom in, chances are part of the sub is cut off. Why cant we have full screen for every show? Its sucks so much.

i been waiting for this episode for a few month after they changed the story between mc and liu mei from having children, so they changed it into curse creature instead of wang lin son,wang lin supposed to say thank you for returning him to me,you can feed hatred to him,i can change him into good, then wang lin lived with wang ping (his son aka that supposedly that creature) for a few decade until his son die and then wang lin said from now on li muwan is your mother….now im wondering how will they resolved the plot between wang lin and li muwan true body about their children
