Some parts that were skipped from the novel is that;
When the thunder cauldron breaks, all the thunder inside exploded forth, surrounded wang lin and pulled him at an incredibly fast speed too fast for the eye to see. Then a thunder stroke broke through the void and wang lin disappeared along with it.
Also “Yan Leizi” aka master flamespark trapes wang lin inside a maze in order to test whether they were fated to meet. It was an assessment created by flamespark specifically for wang lin. If wang lin could leave from that maze fragment, then he would pass and they were connected through fate.
Idk why those were skipped, maybe to keep up with the pacing for the movie. 🤷
I begin to understand why the majority of the readers hate this show. Makes you wonder, since the donghua is already this good, how much more amazing is the novel?
Novel and donghua is worlds apart. Yes the donghua is good, but the Novel is 100% still the best.
Novel has so much details, monologues, writings that obviously donghua either cannot show or skipped.
Honestly the Studio and Tencent is so lucky they get to adapt this Er Gen Novel even if they are paying the author in return for copyrights. Its probably one of the, if not author’s best one.
Donghua can make whatever changes or skip whatever they want, because they already own the full rights to Renegade Immortal, they probably paid the author a huge sum of money for it.

Yes, I can see why that would be skipped, but I didn’t like skipping master flamespark’s maze fragment assessment. It built the plot between them more.
