This is not as heartbreaking as i expected but damn.. in retrospect, this is like a slow-acting poison. It stabs you in the heart and then slowly twists the knife. The moment when he left everything behind for his friends, and all Qing Yi (and everyone else) could see was his sad lonely back, I felt my heartstring being pulled. It was not until the song came, along with all the flashbacks that I felt a stabbing pain. The best part was the red battle flag of 9H10E fell on his back like a silent send-off to a great hero that I was completely broken.
It’s just too bad that they didn’t sub the song. I could understand a few words here and there, and damn wished I hadn’t understood a single word. This is Shi Hao’s personal swan song, particular the phrase (paraphrased): Men wander the world, wherever he dies, there he is buried; all green hills are the same.

He’s taken captive to the foreign realm and although this trip is perilous for SH and he nearly died from the torture. He did find out two things:

1.) the Undying Kings were eager to get the Burial Kings (the zombie creatures that SH met in the Forbidden Forest) for further cooperation. Why? It’s all because of the old rotten wooden chest. They believe that’s the key to breakthrough to Undying Emperor/ Immortal Emperor.
2.) There’s a whole generation of 9H10E descendants who were brainwashed by the evil Undying Kings. The lucky ones were chosen as disciples of Undying Kings and the unlucky ones became slaves for generations.
There will be happy and funny moments too, like how SH escaped from the foreign realm. You would think I’m pulling your legs if I tell you how he escaped but damn.. it’s really funny af.
Upon escape, he stumbled into the origin of lightning (where all the lightning tribulations came from) and he found priceless info. One is a message from Willow Deity and another is a set of mysterious footprints. This is a foreshadowing and a realisation for SH and those who want to reach higher realm in their cultivations: Only Immortal Emperor can leave their footprints.
Long story short, SH will continue his journey with two “friends” (as for the next destination, it will involve more spoilers, so I’ll leave it for now).
This gap would probably take another 15 – 20 episodes before he returns to the Emperor Border.

This episode single handedly ruined the entire show for me, this is bullshit. Fight the bad guys for us then we will give you up (their only hope for the future) to die and loose everything. What kind of bullshit am I watching here. It doesn’t even make sense for Haung to do this. ABSOLUTELY HATED THIS EPISODE! This has been my favorite show of all time ruined by horrible writing. Haung would never do this willingly before even trying to fight.

If you go to WuxiaWorld website (where it was originally translated), the number of comments whinging and cursing showed that every reader/viewer who is immersed with Shi Hao’s life journey would feel frustrated and gobsmacked by his decision. I personally don’t think SH believes the old hag’s story, it’s just that he does not dare to take the risk. He can risk himself but he cannot risk the lives of all his family and friends.
But the consolation is: the bigger the injustice, the greater the face-slapping will be. Unfortunately, this is the tone and style of writing of the author.

He’s taken captive to the foreign realm and although this trip is perilous for SH and he nearly died from the torture. He did find out two things:
2.) There’s a whole generation of 9H10E descendants who were brainwashed by the evil Undying Kings. The lucky ones were chosen as disciples of Undying Kings and the unlucky ones became slaves for generations.
There will be happy and funny moments too, like how SH escaped from the foreign realm. You would think I’m pulling your legs if I tell you how he escaped but damn.. it’s really funny af.
Upon escape, he stumbled into the origin of lightning (where all the lightning tribulations came from) and he found priceless info. One is a message from Willow Deity and another is a set of mysterious footprints. This is a foreshadowing and a realisation for SH and those who want to reach higher realm in their cultivations: Only Immortal Emperor can leave their footprints.
Long story short, SH will continue his journey with two “friends” (as for the next destination, it will involve more spoilers, so I’ll leave it for now).
This episode single handedly ruined the entire show for me, this is bullshit. Fight the bad guys for us then we will give you up (their only hope for the future) to die and loose everything. What kind of bullshit am I watching here. It doesn’t even make sense for Haung to do this. ABSOLUTELY HATED THIS EPISODE! This has been my favorite show of all time ruined by horrible writing. Haung would never do this willingly before even trying to fight.

No one is strong enough to fight them and keep in mind Huang did kill thousands of foreign realm cultivators, Without Meng Tianzheng here no one can speak against Jin Taijun and both Jin and Wang family already hated Shi hao and have always wanted to get rid of him..
Look at it like this, if Huang didn’t wanna go, he won’t.. but sacrificing yourself to give 500 years of peace (protecting his friends and family) that is the right decision in Jin Taijun part
He did it willingly even before going he said, if I sacrifice myself and it’s all in vain what will they do then (she did say the restricted region cultivators will come to help soon but who knows)

Mate… I understand how you feel. I haven’t swear as much in my “adulthood” as when I was reading the novel. If you go to WuxiaWorld website (where it was originally translated), the number of comments whinging and cursing showed that every reader/viewer who is immersed with Shi Hao’s life journey would feel frustrated and gobsmacked by his decision. I personally don’t think SH believes the old hag’s story, it’s just that he does not dare to take the risk. He can risk himself but he cannot risk the lives of all his family and friends.
But the consolation is: the bigger the injustice, the greater the face-slapping will be. Unfortunately, this is the tone and style of writing of the author.
