XQ Is like WL when it comes to caution. But its still funny that Vajra is still always competing with Shadow because he know how XQ doesnt want useless things around him.
They have the same problems when it comes to their subordinates as well. Shadow is always looking for a chance to rebel, same as Wang Lin’s sword spirit, and always begging to survive when failure comes knocking.
Wang Lin’s sword spirit is a combination of shadow’s rebellious nature and Vajra’s flattery.

Didn’t some woman say that some master went aboard and went missing or got gravely injured,stands to reason there are other things aside from the giant and if they are that dangerous ,the mc could have atleast waited till nascent soul ir atleast golden core till he attempted it
Yea it was mentioned that place was freaking dangerous. Also i can’t believe Shadow tried to encourage Vajra to rebel, that was unexpected.
While its hilarious that because Vajra is a LN nerd, and thats how he knows to keep XQ happy. Its pretty funny the dynamic of Shadow and Vajra this episode on full display. Because Shadow is useful but rebellious XQ would normally of just destroyed it, but if Vajra lets that happen he knows for sure that XQ will turn all his anger on him, as he would rather just have a Spike than a weapon spirit.
Never had it on my list of things to happen in this that Shadow would try encourage Vajra to rebel either, that was nice plot-point. Because to often [after you seen as many shows/stories as most of us have] we can tell the direction of the story far to easily.
