Yep, you’re exactly right. Today (September 25) is Episode 288, which is the final regular episode before the break. We won’t get any new story progression for the next 3 months while they air the recaps, so we are essentially waiting until New Year’s Eve for the plot to continue.🤷🏽♂️

Yeah, the studio confirmed that the 13 recap episodes are meant to highlight Shi Hao’s entire growth journey and the best, most epic moments leading up to the Battle at the Pass.
Instead of just being standard, lazily stitched-together episodes, they will serve as highly condensed, action-packed summaries designed to catch everyone up on his progression before the main story explodes on December 31st.
My only fear they use the break to allow viewers to lose their percise knowledge of the show. Then most wont notice its been toned down upon its return.
But with recao editions, it probably won’t happen. Whatever terms were made during the negotiations before the show began its conversion from print to video. Are strong enough to make sure it can stay true to its lore. And protect it from being gutted out from the inside, the way we have all witnessed happening. The great disaster has befallen onto BTTH.
The minor change that removed the little bit of romance also happened to fMC’s in more than 25 shows.

Damn.. the ninja cutting onions!😢 I was again blown away by PW.
At the start of the battle, when the bells started ringing, I thought.. WTH?? Why not use horns? Bells, are you kidding me? Just imagine both sides blaring their horns, one to signal enemy is approaching while the other is to announce their arrival! The horns of Rohan never fails to give me the goosebumps every time (P.S. In case, you’re wondering, I’m referring to Lord of the Rings). Honestly, I was a tad disappointed with the BGM in that moment. I thought PW was always so good hyping up the battle with their blood-boiling BGMs.
And it did. I was just no patient enough. The moment when those veteran fighters at the Ancient Pass started burning themselves, I felt as if hot lava was gushing in my every vein. I actually checked the time as I watched and I realised, it’s not even a special episode but the feel this episode gives me is just so intense. It’s enough to burn for three months straight until Dec 31st.
I can only say they gave us a perfect season finale. Now, I’ll have to find other fixes for my PW withdrawal symptoms. 🤞
