I just keep getting even more intrigued of what they really have for us in this story, fam. And that was a cool part of what he did at the end, trying to connect all the dots like he is some smart individual. I’ll give him credit for that one. We already know this show has a very good mix of good animation, fighting scenes and gore. It also has plot that actually makes sense / logical. I’m a little sick of stories where the enemies are dumb for the sake of being dumb, or MC being dumb by not going for the obvious winning move.

The ‘tokens are an opportunity and our boy is one of the smarter MC. He does not leave anyone that can come back at him later because with XQ there is never a later, just a now.
This almost feels like that messed up without a clear end-goal board/chess game that we saw in season 2 of Demond Hunter, that Meng Chuan found himself in.
Let’s see how it goes. How I wish they could just concentrate on pure cultivation, but this is a messed up world as it is, so I understand it’s purely for survival.

Unfortunately we didn’t get a luxurious aquatic menu for today, atleast a possible threat is eliminated. . .
This is why i love Er Gen’s novels.The Mc are very realistic, no nonsense, no useless talking in a fight with enemies, they kill their enemies regardless of their gender and more importantly they don’t have any unnecessary drama. This is how a true cultivation world is supposed to be. Unlike BTH, PW and a few other donghuas where it feels more like a romantic story than an actual cultivation novel. The Mc in those donghua keep talking nonsense with their enemies and fail to kill them most of the time.
I especially like that they don’t recycle villains. That move always gets on my nerves because it shows that the author has hit a writer’s block and cannot exercise their creativity beyond that character, so they always let them get away time and time again until it becomes annoying.
World of Immortals, Apotheosis,Tomb of Fallen Gods have this problem, amongst others. Just kill the people that should die and introduce new and interesting characters because those annoying people are stale, and worst of all, immortal.
Even in the real world, you don’t have the same enemies from your childhood to adulthood. At some point you’ll choose inner peace and leave if you can’t resolve the issue.
I’m surprised the protagonists don’t get inner demons from being plagued by the same people all the time.
