Also, I think this type of death kinda didn’t suit Liu Mei stubborn and character, I was expecting for her to try to devour the Huan ancestor’s conception instead, but she simply allowed him to kill her after so much time and struggle to grow up. pretty solid reasons why they can’t take over his body imo (they were explained in the episodes) and for this particular ancient devil, he’s bound to a seal that controls his life and death while he’s basically a servant and the fact that mc has an ancient lightning dragon chilling in his sea of consciousness is a pretty solid reason to think twice about possession.
Realm of cultivation in Er Gen verse. Step 1 is normal cultivation from Qi condition to I think nirvana or something here. Then comes 2nd step to 10th. After that lord immortal, Immortal Paragon and one – two other (we’ll see only Xu Qing from Beyond the timespace Mc reach that realm.)
At the end of this novel, Mc, I believe reaches 4 and half or fifth. Liu Mei’s end would have been better if she died through Wang Lin’s hand man. The only villain character I love in this donghua has to be red butterfly. Even though she was annoying at first she grew into me and I came to love her character. This Liu mei has been an assh*le since she was on screen to her death. No redemption arc at all. I think charm soul pet is by far the most satisfying donghua with great animation and plot even though it’ released in 2024. Although It is quite short but it isn’t dragging like most donghua.
Way of choices is also a great choice it’s entertaining especially the with the choice of music and great character model.

Wang Lin is only mc in genre who goes around handing his body to god and devils who knows what to take over for power ups, like this has already happened thrice, I guess. It’s surprising or plot armor, that no thus far tried to take over, even they would have failed in the end. These devils should be more daring.
Also, I think this type of death kinda didn’t suit Liu Mei stubborn and character, I was expecting for her to try to devour the Huan ancestor’s conception instead, but she simply allowed him to kill her after so much time and struggle to grow up. Even wang ling and devil bro was surprise for how cowardly she went out.

At the end of this novel, Mc, I believe reaches 4 and half or fifth. And at the end of er gen latest novel, Wang lin and other have reached 10th realm, maybe lord immortal(though only wang lin, no official confirmation). Whereas Xu Xing is immortal paragon and highest realm reached by other MC and handful of people in the verse.
