I thought for sure our boi was going to do the saving, but they got saved by a random ass old man instead, a remnant of a powerful individual, from what it looks like.

Welp, after all of that crazy ass fiasco, our boi Shi Hao is still the freaking lucky one in the end. He got that seed so easily without any problems, sheesh!!!

i highly doubt your opinion.. shi hao didn’t get the seed right now. not sure what the last scene means. but it literally says “a glimpse of the future”. in novel ch 1223-1224, it’s said that the old man remnant guy said that nobody deserved the heavenly seed. like nobody, including shi hao. this is cuz the seed was prepared for immortal domain’s future generation. but.. there’s a catch, when shi hao succeeded in body as the seed later, those immortal domain future generation can’t compare to him at all so those guardians just gave him the seed without complain. literally, body as the seed is the highest achievements possible for ancient immortal method. like from time to time, even though there are lots and lots of talents, only select few can become true immortal, between those select few only sparse number can become immortal king. this is cuz they are cultivating this ancient immortal method. ofc, they upgraded the cultivation system in immortal domain after long, but they still have some fixed elements like the dao seed.

so my take is that donghua wants to show the future for us viewers a bit?
