well that’s the problem, right? they wanna make it look beautiful or something. do you remember the battle with huang yu? i think the PW studio did well at that point. everything looks wild and bloody as hell. in my memory, they didn’t try to make things look beautiful. that worn out sword from ghost grandpa is still lookin’ worn out. but now, everything looks shiny. do you remember when shi hao was stabbed by his enemies after just finishing his cultivation on second strand of immortal energy? by logic, his wounds are not supposed to heal that easily. he fought really hard and still kill all his opponents! moreover, he still managed to run away from heavenly deity! now that the studio make his wounds heal in an instant, like what’s the point? they let him change new clothes in a few seconds like magic, and all his wounds disappear just like that. the once glorious battle achievement doesn’t seem to be that awesome any longer. also, i keep mentioning the armor since, it’s supposed to have holes. but you remembered the time they have this episode with mosquitoes and i think they literally mentioned holes in the armor, but the animation shows it to be fully intact. yeah, i mean, it looks stupid.

even then, PW is still better than STH though, the STH producer screwed up the plot without giving a better one, instead a flawed one. especially that weiwei, it’s so obvious that the plot is so flawed and unacceptable at that point. also, some people said that ye fan got nerfed so bad. and in my eyes, they also tried making him look strong but in a wrong way. either they buffed a nobody opponent like gu litian or they nerfed the other opponent as well, like zi xia, the zifu saintess. they even don’t let ye fan obtain the heavenly source eye, the crucial thing in his cultivation journey that helped him from various dangers. thereby cropping the whole plot of gambling stones just for the sake of fast-forward to the rescue of divine king. moreover, it’s clear that, they delayed ye fan’s already hard cultivation journey for the sake of inserting random plots, for me it’s honestly random imo. lots of them. what PW did was just shorten the large number characters into one or two, thereby keeping the plot intact. STH also has large number of characters, but instead they just screw up the whole sub-plot. i also said that moment ye fan said to yaoguang holy son is absurd, since that certain event never happened in donghua, but happened in novel.

They’re not treating this story seriously or at least let’s say the story deserves better donghua (animation) and better screenwriter. while the art of donghua itself is undoubtedly, great, what’s the point if the story is so flawed with holes?

i’m worried tho, for the preview, i think he didn’t cast 72 transformation on his face, he just changed clothes? i presume? i just hope that donghua producers are not addicted to destroy already fine stories just because they want to add their own element. i mean, not to mention revenge, it’s probably going to be hard for him to move around if he didn’t use a fake face.
