Some say he took on new projects, while some think the studio wanted someone more mature as SH grows older. But honestly I love him for what and who he is, including how he talks/sounds like. I think the studio is about to be slapped in the face. I saw over 90% of the comments under the new clip where they’re promoting the new SH were negative and disapproving about the new VA (voice actor).
After I read your comment I went to YT and found the clips. He looks older though not much different, but it’s like he was possessed by an Indian deity LOL and I see what you mean by the new voice, I heard him say “Je die”(or something like that, for elder brother), it sounds strange, guess it will take me a while to get used to it.
Its strange timing because there’s less than 20 eps to end, unless they do a season 5.

It was a passing remark if I’m not mistaken. But yes, fans of the trilogy (from all the fan forum remarks I read) credited the reincarnation to him. IMO Chen Dong was rushing too much with the finale of SR. The whole descriptions of the transcendence level was done in just a few sentences. I don’t even remember, did it even take up half a chapter? Doubt it. Though I maybe wrong because I’ve only read the first 10% and the last 20% of SR.

Yes, they’re changing the voice actor. Sigh.. there goes my milk baby’s voice! I’m forever going to miss that SH. If anyone had watched the promotional clip released by the studio, the new VA sounded like a pure villain. One that is rich, arrogant and like a know-it-all asshole. Some of the comments from fans were even calling him Uncle Shi Hao because he sounded old too.
P.S. The good news is the appearance is temporary. This is just a disguise he’s wearing in this foreign land.

The studio is in a sticky situation tbh. In the earlier arcs where SH disguised himself and the studio didn’t even bother to create any new model for him and they were nearly chewed out by the fans.
