Novel reader here. One of the main issues i had with the Cheng Dong was the inconsistencies and his obsession with Shi Hao doing everything. I was a little confused to why only Shi Hao was sent to the Shi Clan here? if anything Shi Yi was more deep rooted than he was. I think the donghua took that into consideration, in the novel only one 1000 members still remained from millions that was there and all of them was in the village shi hao was sent to. The donghua team took this error and corrected it, the village looks small so it seems there a few of them.

True , I can’t remember if his two brothers got sent to other sin(stone) clan villages but Shi Hao is the only one with the sin mark branded on his forehead, he was also the one who found out about the seven desolate border kings , he’s also the one the whole story revolves around ,he’s also the one who fought for the sin clan countless times … Yes the two brothers are also sin clan but little is shown to them interacting with the clans…
But I love how the three of them fought against Ning Chuan few eps back together as the sin brothers ….

I haven’t read of a single word from the LN and I knew right away that he was Yunxi’s Grandfather who asked Shi Hao to get engaged to Yunxi back when he was around 15 years old. Maybe its my photographic memory helping me remember IDK. But I’m sure others also recognized he was from the celestial clan.
