I’m actually amused to see them putting a reference to Renegade Immortal there. It shows how successful and well-loved the show is that any subsequent new show will have to use RI to market themselves.
RI is good and all, the only thing I don’t like is how they still censor some things, like toned down wang lin’s killing and ruthless nature , or even removed the wang lin and liu mei seggs scene, and change some plot of the novel.
But atleast it isn’t as bad as btth, so its like whatever for me.
But yeah really excited for sacred ruins, completes the trilogy, with PW and STH.

the funny thing is, yue chan and qing yi are one person, they must unite eventually. since shi hao made qing yi so strong without yue chan, they must compromise. it wasn’t told how their fusion went later. it was only told that she can’t forget him ever. so yeah they’re the weirdest woman ever. sorry if this offended anyone. but yeah anything with cultivation world is super weird and they’re probably not the only one. in case of qing yi, we remembered her as yue chan second body or 2.0, which was forced to marry shi hao by his mother. so yeah at that time, qing yi is “wronged”, but rightfully, since she’s on the opposite side. moreover, yue chan main actually wanted to kill her just like that. things went weirdly downhill from that part. they form an alliance and they sorta fell deeper and deeper for each other in some funny way. i mean qing yi is literally avoiding him, feeling awkward, but i’d prefer to say she saw him as a man, rather than the one who was forcefully married to her. considering their recent adventures, and the ones to come, i think i believe that their connection just deepens. if no script changes haha… basically, she tried to forget him all she could. after a long time, when he appeared again, her heart still stirs~ and she didn’t marry another man, even though she got many chances and many “suitable” suitors around her.
considering all that, shi hao is mostly going solo. the only times he goes on team mode is that when he really needs it. but even at the end, he still goes solo. in some sense, the author is trying to take his precious girl (huo ling’er) for a thousand years (for him it’s hundreds of thousand years – read the cultivation part in wiki to confirm this..) by letting her get kidnapped along with the whole sin province later. such sad story. even the “happy-ending” is questionable. even when last boss died, the war continues, so scary af. but overall, great story, the guy is legend. it’s full of tragedies. which is why, if the story is told carefully, i think this should be one of the top 5 ranked donghua ever, maybe 10.
I’d love to see Qin Xi get super strong, them going ahead with the fusion and it backfire on Yue Chan, leaving Qing Yi as the dominant one.

chaos calming art is “invincible”, or at least almost. but the user isn’t. especially since wang xi is just a beginner in that regard. i don’t get why they depict her as being vicious as heck here while they don’t do so in the novel. in novel, wang xi mostly stayed silent. she knows that she’s not right, but she wants to stand with her family.
yes, extreme sword art, remind me that grass symbol sword art (partial) that shi hao obtained in that animal skin is also one of the legendary skill.

This fight sequence again is out of order, but they did make up for it with amazing animation, SFx.
Dao is the law that operates heaven and earth, in PW verse there are infinite realms with diff heaven and earth, diff Dao laws. Take Nine heavens Ten earth with Incomplete dao laws, while foreign enemy World is complete World with perfect Dao laws. When heaven and earth is on the brink of destruction and rebirth Dao goes in devouring mode, cultivationless age surfaces, a nightmare for all cultivators under Immortals.
I’m fine with her tough aggressive behaviour change here. I always thought she was too uncharacteristic to begin with in the novel. Even Yao Yue stands out more than her in terms of her pompous speech while WX is just always in the background type of girl. The main reason why I think it’s ok for her to turn to a villain because her whole family is the big baddie. There’s no redemption possible for anyone with the surname Wang. So, she might as well show her toughness and stands clearly at the opposing line before her tosser of a fiance stole her limelight.
i mean, in STH, there’s also big baddie family called Wang. but ofc, mc got a classmate called Wang, which is a different matter. the point is, i think author has some grudge on Wang surnamed family or something. well luckily in third novel, sacred ruins, there seemed to be a lot of good wang people. like, mother of mc and his best friend.

Not many people perceive the depth of PW, most non-chinese audience are confused because of this very reason, they don’t follow the wiki, not to mention the novel. This blame could fall upon the studio as they initially focused too much on 3D, neglected the story narration, thus many people out there dropped it midway, but ever since I started watching PW back in post covid times, I never skipped one episode, other Donghuas I used to watch, already lost track of it except some…
The story at this point still passable, Wang family’s grudge with Huang has just started, I mean why don’t they do background check before taking anyone as servant, this thing would not end well for those families acting against SH. Although this grudge is meaningless, has historical plots, back when Stone Clan was still in existence, some misunderstanding happened.
hehe~ misunderstanding. it’s framing i reckon. those immortal domain basta**s must’ve known the truth, but they have grudges so they just frame them anyways. plus they’re in the front line, likely won’t ever return. such a convenient reason to plot against stone clan. even until the end, nobody was specifically pointed out as the perpetrator (or head honcho who gave order to immortal palace true immortal). i believe it’s one of the three immortal kings that will try to kill shi hao later (and has tried to kill liu shen) or the ones backing them (can’t think if it’s one of the forbidden region lords (like the hou), they’re kinda weak to do that). but whatever, we can cross check, it’s usually bird species. since true immortal of immortal palace is possibly bird species as well.

I saw that too! What really surprised me was Ye Fan’s height. I picked up Shrouding the Heavens novel again and rereading from the very beginning. It clearly said Ye Fan is only 1.79m. He is really like a midget compared to Shi Hao.
This led me to wonder if Chen Dong actually regretted how moderate he wrote the attributes and power level in his first novel (StH), that’s why he decided to upscale everything in PW. Everything is superlative in PW, even the cultivation levels. Of course, Chen Dong took the final cultivation levels to the peak in his third book Sacred Ruins.

Hey, I am Donghua-only, and maybe because of bad Translations on the subs of some episodes, but it seems I have a few questions:

Everything is listed there. It even tells you at what chapter SH reaches which level. In PW world, there’s no Foundation building or Qi Core or whatever Nascent Souls. I just mentioned in another comment. Everything is superlative here. SH could already flatten mountains and cut down pieces of stars at Venerable Realm (that is when he died the first time in the Lower Realm).
As a comparison, SH at three years old (if I’m not mistaken), can already lift up a 300000jin cauldron while Tang San’s Sea God Trident that was supposedly a divine weapon that hardly anyone could lift weighs 108000jin (btw, I’m referring to Tang San from Soul Land).
interestingly, i checked shi hao cultivation wiki, it says 108,000 jin one hand. hehehe~ like i am supposing that anyone on PW universe can pummel anyone on DD universe quite easily. that’s why author later invent dragon blood injection, like steroids haha~
As for your second questions. Sigh… I actually explained them multiple times in my older comments. But they’re all gone with Disqus kicking all the streaming platforms out.
Here’s a quick summary:
The world was broken into multiple chunks during the ancient war and 9H10E (it’s 9 heavens and 10 earths) is the largest chunk that is dominated by the most powerful “mortal” cultivators because the law is more complete. The smaller the pieces, the more broken the laws are; hence, those places not conducive for high-level cultivations. SH came from the lower realm, and that is really like the backwater of all cultivation worlds where the highest level the ppl can reach is probably only Divine Flame level.
Regardless of where, the incomplete law and the broken world was the cause that why current cultivators could no longer reach the immortal level. This is also why the foreign realm or more accurately the enemy realm where Mo Dao comes from, look down on the ppl from 9H10E. The academy elders are dying to train a batch of powerful cultivators to defend their land because they know the enemies are bound to attack soon.
What is that? Sorry, I have no recollection. I don’t remember the novel having such plots. But then maybe the donghua uses a different term.
probably he meant mountain treasure, the one obtained by zhuyan or maoqiu. the treasure will be postponed for quite some time until shi hao returned to lower realm. it will contain the complete six dao reincarnation heavenly technique (tian gong – supporting technique) and the complete grass symbol sword art. the others are pretty much supplementary. if there’s another treasure made of bones, it’s probably myriad soul map (ten thousand spirit diagram) the one shi hao always had with him.
