I liked the old man already for judging in Fang Han’s favour when Hua Tiandu had him whipped by lightning in a horrendous practice that no one had survived before with less strikes, and then wanted to kill him still when the guy came out alive.
He hasn’t been that proactive in keeping justice in the Sect but today he outdone himself. His help in refining was beyond all expectations.

It seems he’s finally solidly set. Support and acknowledgment from the two big sect leaders, the doubt about Fang Xiaolin/Hong Yi finally put to rest, his use of items of demonic origin is no longer an issue, Hua Tiandu is no longer the highest harmful force in his life and has to thread carefully now.
Fang Han’s contributions and loyalty to the sect are set in stone and beyond doubt whereas Tiandu has been shamed (diplomatically) for having done nothing for Yuhua and suspiciously much for the Tian-something Sect.
The crane has attained human form (I like that they kept her nature simple, friendly and good as before, in line with an intelligent animal’s thinking.
And besides Dragon Maiden and the other sect elder woman, Fang Qingxue is backing him all the way. Let’s hope her disgusting sister learns some humility and goodness from her year as a cat. But knowing her, I doubt it. Nasty, scheming, sadistic and rotten to the core.

You’re telling me they will refine that hand and make pills with it or am I tripping? Because there’s no way in hell I’d eat anything made from that ugly, disgusting thing. It’s enough that Shi Hao has been eating all kinds of shit since he was a kid but now this? 🤮 Cultivators can be disgusting sometimes.
