Its simple the age demographic they are going for is different from the Novel witch is more teens to yang adults while this adaptation is for kids to teens so all the censorship and even the romance in this later part is pretty much changed its still there but sooo put on the backstage with hints rather then being a focus sadly it makes the whole adaptation hollow for me at least. Its been falling in character and story writing quality for the academia ark onward.

And the 100 reincarnations is being able to comprehending the knowledge of yourself and laws of karma the more you understand the nature of yourself and laws of karma the more “powerful” the person is so his new display in power is to show he fully understand his nature and the laws of karma which means he not tied to the laws of karma anymore so he has reach nirvana like in perfect world its also how mc can skipped to dou sheng
