Or… maybe Mute Grandpa just said all of that to put some metaphorical distance between himself and the MC in case the State Teacher wanted to convict and pursue him upon potentially recognizing his identity… if the State Teacher knew MC was named as his direct disciple he might consider him a criminal as well, but if he (Mute GP) were just an elder in the family, that would put some layers of distance between himself and MC and therefore might protect him (MC) somewhat from the ire of the State Teacher if Mute Grandpa and he came to blows.
Just remember: EVERYONE from MC’s “village” is a “criminal” in the capital, and ALL of MC’s criminal grandparents have shown themselves to be more than willing to throw down their lives to protect the MC, so lying to the top government enforcer; if it will protect the MC; is just a matter of course.
I agree, he just placated the Teacher, because all the Grandparents taught QM, and passed on atleast the starting parts of their inheritance to him. Mute wouldnt want the teacher to control anything like his Smithing techniques imo, could you imagine the chaos if he was able to mass produce the armor and weapons Mute can make.

She wants to kill him for the most part cause she knows he was the one who summoned that Devil King after all and basically killed all of their people. 😅😅😅

That’s my main question: Does she want to go after “Qin Mu of the Devil Summoning Sect” or is she going after “Qin Mu the guy who pretended to be a part of the Devil Summoning Sect”?
If she thinks he was actually a part of the Devil Summoning Sect, it could be beneficial to the Empire in that she might take out a ton of people who weren’t actually involved in the summoning of that giant Demon God on her way to hunt down Qin Mu (and her actions could deprive the rebels of their ability to summon Demon Gods in the future if she kills off the whole sect),
-BUT-
If she realizes that he was an imposter more or less, then she could either get help from the REAL Devil Summoning Sect, or at the very least, she won’t be distracted by trying to kill the members of that sect while going after Qin Mu.
This is where it would be helpful to understand Chinese or have a better memory for details from the show because I’m unsure (at this point) if she thinks he was part of a group that betrayed her and her allies or was just careless OR if she knows that he was a part of the resistance to her plans on behalf of the Empire all along…
It will make a BIG difference in how she goes about her revenge and how it affects the rebels depending on what the answer to that question is.

This time the chaos Qin Mu caused is too big to handle, although he had thoughts to redeem himself by destroying that devil statue, there is no way he could imagine things would go out of hands during the summoning ritual. But hey kids can make mistake, elders are there to take care when things are overreaching. Talking about elders, those old monsters from Daxu are like Slumbering Dragons, once they wake up things won’t be normal anymore, even State Teacher of YanKang has to stop by, pay respect.
Disabled Village Chief once said aside from him, the most accomplished person in the disabled quota is that Mute. Considering the move that Blocked True Body of Du Tian Devil is no joke, even state teacher guessed his background, probably originating from some ancient Divine Kingdom, arcane arts. Truly magnificent, meanwhile State Teacher destroyed the Statue and celestial devil army.
Now even State Teacher is quite apprehensive of Qin Mu’s family heritage, just one person came out from the family and made a move, not to mention there are still others slumbering somewhere in Dark… When its a matter of life-death for Qin Mu, they would not be polite even if some little Devil King descends from another world.
Hey, if you’re going to summon a demon god, go big or go home! MC said “I’ll show y’all how to summon a demon god!” and homeboy got to WORK!

demon god matter got solved, there is lesson to learn for MC though, when he pulls something off like this next time, he has to solve it himself as elders won’t be watching his back for eternity, in future he has to be strong, rely on himself. But it was fun to see how much chaos he can create when its a deathmatch…

Well, fuck. The leader of the Dragon Taming Sect didn’t die. Huh. So he didn’t use that gender-bending technique to save his life. And now his child has sworn a blood debt against my child. We’ll see how well that works out for them.
Side note: I’m not sure if it counts, as I’m not sure if that’s what he did, but Mu’er is the first male character I’ve seen to use the string technique that many female cultivators use.

But now that I am playing “Where Winds Meet” for sometime, I noticed how perfectly they implemented all these skills to the game once again.. The Lightness Skill (Jumping / Flying) – Dragon’s Breath – Meridiant Touch and many more..
By the way, it must me noted that, however small a role it seems Grandpa Mute have played, he actually stopped “Devil King Du Tian himself!!!”

If you like the movie Kung Fu Hustle especially, there is so many references to it.
The game isn’t particularly “fantastic” genre, even though there are fantasy elements to it, most of the fantastical concepts are more down to earth and tied to realism, yet still epic somehow. (You have seen the upside down World coming down on this episode right? There is such an epic scene in a Boss arena / Boss fight for example, but even that insanely fantastical concept is tied to reality perfectly)
Learning Mystic Arts from watching a boss fight or by watching an eagle on top of an impossible cliff, or by buying an old scripture from a run down shop in a massive underground cave..
Learning Martial Arts by entering Sects, or by just sneaking in their bases and by watching and learning from them secretly.
I dont know.. I just feel like playing the MC of a Donghua in an open world.. Too bad my PC is very old though, gives me so much trouble loading stuff 🙂
