the 2nd prince tried and hehe.. if i haven’t read the novel, i’d tend to think the guy is a righteous sort. but no.. he’s the same and he’s later being overprotective on his sister so she doesn’t interact much with qin mu.
nope they don’t they’re all a work in progress as that elder from dao sect said, and they have potential to surpass the sect members in the future with the exception of specially trained disciple like daozi lin xuan. that’s why they want to stomp the spirit of reform so that the sects will still have the upper hand in the world. they play dirty but it’s effective. at least they don’t blatantly rebel like some other sects.
our boi is the best cook in this case… they all looked down on him cause he just managed to refine his vital qi into thread, but they neglected to notice the fact that his vital qi is so damn THICC that he struggles just to actually refine it. only after learning from Imperial/National Preceptor’s spiral sword form, the 15th basic form, he finally… managed… to refine… his awfully thick vital qi into threads! and this is an achievement that no one can see unless they have the eyes of an expert like National Preceptor himself! but i guess they skipped the part where he said, “it’s interesting.” for a freakin cliffhanger stare.
Even the other people outside are complaining that he comes from the Great Ruins like damn bro. So many freaking people be looking down on our boi, they better prepare themselves once he surprises the shit our of them in the coming episodes.

that tao son is a specialist bro.. plus he’s a special recruit of dao sect. it would be weird if he can’t beat most people of the same age or his peers at the same realm/level. he’s trained by dao sect canon, which was based on yin yang stuff or taiji kind of technique and the sword technique based observation of starry sky diagram. he’s like qin mu, but difference is qin mu is trained by eight greatest experts alive. village chief is the human emperor with the greatest sword skill (the only ones that can possibly surpass him is imperial preceptor and qin mu). granny si was the mistress of heavenly saint cult. old ma is the disciple of rulai from thunderclap temple. butcher is the heaven knife, titled martial emperor by the barbarians. mute is the greatest blacksmith. deaf was a prince who likes to paint – god of painting, blind has the strongest eyes to pierce the enemy, cripple has the fastest movement.
but then the academy is succeeding in general and they have the potential to surpass and suppress the sects in the future. that’s why that elder is doing a dirty move like this barring the gates and challenge the college. it’s not an open rebellion but it definitely has the intention of rebel. after all these times, the sects has always been on the upper rung. how would they accept being moved into average rung or even lower?

But Village Chief said if he learns Sword techniques from someone else, that he won’t teach him anything. And he only thought him the basics yet, not the actual sword style itself. And now that he learned from the Imperial Preceptor won’t it effect the Village Chief’s teachings?
But considering Qin Mu improved/changed everything he learned from the Grandfathers/mother to his own style, maybe he will combine the sword techniques he learned from the Chief and Preceptor to find his own (much stronger) path as well.
