I actually don’t like the new model of the MC, and for some reasons he just seems to have lost the aura he had in season 1. He was cruel, brutal and badass when he had to be, but for some reasons this new look makes him look soft. Even is actions and vibe, this will need some getting used to.
I guess right now he is not allowed to kill so I’m already expecting once Wan Yao Mountain is open that’s were we will finally get to see some real action. In this episode they kind of wasted it and only causing trouble left and right lol.

You see this pretty often in Anime, the dozens and dozens of mediocre ones you get every new season. I’m not sure what the exact circumstances are for this show and the new studio, but it’s pretty often these studios think it’s a safe bet to make their mc’s as dull as possible as to not offend anyone. Can’t say I really get it, but it happens way to often in media, especially of this variety, for it not be a conscious decision these people are actively making.
Shit, just look at BTTH, that mc and the other characters use to have personality, now they are just husks of their former selves, and I don’t think that came from laziness, I’m confident that is a specific decision they made to make the characters more dull.
