So true – there’s a difference between “getting the audience invested in the story so the revenge feels earned” and “milking it for all it’s worth to pad story and time” that most creators of these things don’t seem to understand.

She started at 1st demonic realm at 4:38, which rose to 3rd realm… She somehow reached 4th realm off-screen and rose from 4th to 5th at 7:42, then she suppressed it down to 2nd realm at 8:23… She rose from 2nd realm to 7th realm at 11:08 when she sort of released her inner demon, and further rose to 8th realm at 11:16… She reached 9th realm at 13:18, which was indicated as “Tainted God Xi He”

Yeah, I kept waiting for the “But it was I, Dio!” moment as well, but it never came. While I understand that revenge is very personal and how people choose to carry it out is entirely up to them on an individual level, felt so unsatisfied by that particular revenge stylistic choice. It just feels like bad form to not let your target know who is offing them and why at the very end – isn’t that look of surprise and understanding largely why these people go on these revenge quests?
