Well to be honest I am not that excited for this donghua since it’s a shoujo donghua and my experience with shoujo are 🙂 well biggest shit I don’t involve into shoujo too much since stroy always remains that same shit where fmc gets betrayed by fiance blah blah and reincarnated or go thru some other plot armor and gets involved with several side overly handsome and cute boys and get confused to chose who she should remain loyal and get revenge and blah blah I have watch tons shoujo which give me a rough idea how a story gonna develop not to mention now China where female faminist are unbearable where they demanding reverse harem while demoting straight harem plots 😐

they put too much into the first episode. to be simply rooted in revenge for family off the bat is kind of weak and lame. no time to show her rise to fame or struggle to become the young sect master. she has 0 awareness of her surroundings, and not having people jealous around you to temper your mindset is bizarre. no cultivation story where someone is too talented goes without rivals or enemies from outside and within, who are always plotting and spurring things out of envy. she literally got poisoned by her maid/attendant and could not sense anything. tbh I’m tired of romance based cultivation stories. no real depth or substance beyond chasing someone for sex or romance or w.e, and they put the whole point of becoming an immortal as a secondary goal vs being the primary one. all female mc’s serve is just eye candy for viewers and extras within the show to lust after every turn, doesn’t it get tiring or boring when she goes to a new place someone wants to rape her? or hit on her? or she is fighting people who get mad she said no to them?

so im not sure if he actually sealed her, i think he used the meteor rock thing to burn up her body assuming that she would be dead for sure. i was honestly confused as to why they bound their fate by blood beyond that lifetime. i think its bizzare to love someone through multiple lifetimes if you reincarnate because it assumes you will live a short life to die to be reborn to keep repeating the same fate etc atleast in a cultivation story. maybe she has either superior spiritual roots or a special constitution that makes her grow fast that he would want to bind her as either a cultivation cauldron or refine her into a pill.

different stories mix up the levels or have their own unique leveling system that doesn’t follow a strict heirrachy. i’ve seen some where nascent soul is above soul formation or vice versa.

Watching anime and donghua has taught me a very important lesson: trust no one, especially if you’re talented or powerful.
Watching this FMC donghua with 20min ep is still better than watching the typical 5 min episode weekly edging donghuas lol. (Regrettably, I still watch some of those edging donghuas… sigh)

yea the plot is pretty weak but the animation is good. hopefully she will get her revenge quick and grow to make more enemies. a good revenge donghua needs a quick start on pain then shows the mc grow colder /darker as they continue on their journey. now that she has be betrayed hopefully she will make smarter choices.
