Forget about them recycling the same 2 songs every single battle, what is even the point of dragging this arc out for so long? They were rushing to end a few months ago due to all the negative feedback, now suddenly they decided to make this Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame arc really so slow and boring… Time after time the MC will work and fight together with Arch-enemies to hunt for stupid lazy powerup plot devices and then fight against each other… What kind of idiot would not immediately try to rescue his father with all means necessary, but instead, actually work together to go hunt for treasures.
Unfortunately this is a common trend specially for this donghua. It’s a rinse and repeat plot. There’s only 1 common enemy and they’ll just send an enemy that is a little bit stronger than the protagonist and will help him level up lol. Among Heavenly Silkworm Potatoe’s novels though, dragon prince Yuan seems to have better plot, but the studio is not giving it justice. Good thing season 1 of dragon prince Yuan is getting a remake.
I don’t like Hun Feng’s voice actor, I can’t take him seriously as a villain since he has the same voice as Qing Yu from Stellar transformation. I don’t know who thought that was a good idea, giving a villian the same voice as the MC of another donghua. Again the recycling cracking space over and over and over and over again, we have seen those like 100 times already.
You know, just brainless fighting like this every episode does not make a good donghua, there needs to be emotions, unpredictable plot twists, character development, world-building, romance. Oh but forgot studio either changed them or censored it.

How is it possible that Zi Yan can traverse the void/space crack (not sure what the technique is called) to get to the Demon Lotus Flame before the HoS master, but can’t do the same to hand it over to Xiao Yan and throws it to him instead?
Why did Xuner cover her eyes when the flame was thrown to her? Talk about losing sight of the target. She could have gotten it without being affected by Xiao Yan’s fight. Meanwhile, other cultivators were flying through a lava tsunami, risking their lives to get it.
Also, how is it possible that the HoS young master can swallow everything with his Heavenly Devouring Mirror, but didn’t think to use it during the chase for the flame, which would have saved him a lot of trouble? He conveniently uses it in a fight against Xiao Yan instead.
They really need to QA some of these things before release.
