These Hall of Souls minion deaths are so unsatisfying, they just get one shot and turn to specs of dust… It really is PG 13 donghua now. How about showing some blood and gore, like Wang Lin when he goes on a killing spree, he be decapitating heads, and slicing whole armies in half.
Idk the Hall Of Souls are not very smart antagonists are they? They keep sending low level minions (who all look like copy-paste with minor changes) to blindly run in and keep dying. Why not send some Dou Shengs to fight against XY and Yao chen instead?
So Mu Gu able to self-destruct? Not sure how that even makes sense, since after a heavenly flame is extracted from you, you instantly die from the extraction as a side effect.
I guess there was some nice flashy moves here and there, at least this fight Monkey Yan used different techniques instead of using the same Lotus to blow the place up every time. But we already seen those before Idk the Dou sheng battle with first Tian Zun seemed a bit underwhelming, he was just some crazy annoying old man obsessed with souls.
The Deputy Hall Master of Hall of Souls has a childish voice, I really hope he does not look as he sounds, you can’t take them seriously when they look like a kid. Hall of Souls/Hun Clan are supposed to look like cool-demonic beings. Not teenage kids. Oops forgot its a PG 13 donghua, mb.
Overall, the episode was decent, but nothing out of the ordinary. Next arc is refining the purifying demonic Lotus flame arc in the flame mantra. Maybe that will be a better arc, but i doubt.
Another dumb ass here again, hall of souls on this episode is not just low level minions, it’s just that xiao yan is already dou sheng, they can’t fight that,even that old tianzun is only at ban sheng level

high = ban sheng
this episode nothing impress me. BTTH is restrict age show and the studio ruined it all with PG13. the most annoying in this episode is animation show tih PNG and SPecial FX.

Dou Sheng battles look like Da Dou Shi battles.
Thats was ticked me off in this episode especially. Ban sheng is half step into dou sheng. it’s not true dou sheng. The level between dou sheng and ban sheng is immense. For plot they powered XY and teacher way down. XY is known for taking down people ABOVE his paygrade due to all his very special powers and constant life and death fight experiences.
If they didn’t need to underpower or portray XY as weaker for fights he obviously is too powerful for… like this one, you could see the true scope and accurate representation of XY compared to others. If it were accurate and not just for the sake of plot pacing XY would have wiped that other 2 star sheng much quicker.
Not to mention they portrayed that lowly ban sheng in a way that allowed him to last this long against teacher which is even more innacurate as weve already seen how a true dou sheng can wipe out ban shengs in an instant. I get they have to nerf people for plot and pacing, but this episode was a disappointment to be honest.

It took him a while to get it, but here we are, finally, he gets another one, he can finally combine it with the other 4, and can use the real technique of the 5 color lotus when using all 5 together. I know he has been using that purple beast flame he got in the early season, but that thing couldn’t compare to what a real heavenly flame’s power output is. 💪 💪 💪

Today’s episode was a bit good, those asking for blood, remain the hall of souls are no living being anymore, they are merely souls.
Also only high level dousheng from level 6 and above can form their own domain and realm, and also manipulate space by changing the location of object by the snap of their fingers, it is clearly stated if you read btth cultivation levels online. None of the dousheng in this episode has gotten to that level so you should not be expecting such fight here. My only displeasure here is that ban Sheng holding up to Yao Chen who is a dou Sheng, doesn’t make any sense. Dousheng should be able to kill a bansheng in less than 2 moves
