Yahoooo!! Finally caught up with this Masterpiece!! Really don’t remember who recommended this to me, but thamk you soo darn much!! This is soo Good!! 🔥 🔥
This donghua was my introduction to the donghua world.. i was too used to Japanese anime and not huge fan of chinese language but fell in love with this.. probably the only Donghua i enjoy the comedy part.. there is some charm to 2D animation that makes it funnier compared to 3D but overall its one of the best out there.

“War God system, I’m counting on you”, “Spare Me! Great Lord”, “The Last Summoner”, “My Cultivator Girlfriend”, and “3000 Years of Qi Refinement” all have decent comedy and are 2D, though they have more comedy than this show overall. “Fairies Album” also has some comedic moments but is largely serious, but it’s not a cultivation show and the content is WAY heavier than this show, with some very depressing episodes.
You might have already seen these as they are more popular, but other 2D with decent plot lines and a bit of comedy include “5000 Year Old Herbivorous Dragon”, Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation”, and “Heaven Official’s Blessing”.
Less comedic but still decent 2D includes “Full-Time Magister (Quanzhi Fashi)”, “The Outcast”, “Blade of the Guardians”.
If you want pure 2D comedy that won’t let you down though, there’s a little known donghua called “Don’t Give Up!” that’s quite hilarious; it’s kinda like if The Boyz was a comedy.
Seen most of those i am not really looking for comedy.. but i dont mind when its executed well like in A Will Eternal..
I recommend it to people all the time as it’s one of my favorites: it’s a good blend of comedy and drama, the animation is well done, and while the MC is OP to some extent, he still has to be smart about things because he’s not OP enough to make it boring or do whatever he wants. Plus the fact that he always turns around situations where people try to hurt him is “fantabulous”, lol.
The moment in S1 where he went from only caring about living a long time to saying “Eff it – I’m going to save my friends even if it kills me” was the moment that sealed in my love for this show, and it hasn’t disappointed me ever since.

damn, i like this episode! bai xiaochun is the goat. hmph, mc is still too soft. he should’ve just crippled all of them even if he didn’t kill them. yep that great heavenly teacher is too utilitarian. bai xiaochun is forced to use his trump card. but then, the whole desert (man huang) is not related to him, what if he becomes more cruel? he can just change his face and run. it might be troublesome, but i think xiaochun should be able to do it. moreover, grand heavenmaster (or great heavenly teacher) knows that xiaochun (who is currently bai hao) is the successor of hell emperor. he can manipulate xiaochun to do things for him, but he can’t endanger his life. if not, he’s risking the enmity of someone who’s supposed to be an ally. i’d rather think that grand heavenmaster is initially peak demigod. which is why everyone is afraid of him. but hell emperor and daoist heavenspan (the dad of du lingfei, that lovely senior sister) are both half-celestial level. it’s to the point where both of them have the power to destroy the whole “world”. their prowess has officially stepped into second step of cultivation. even if grand heavenmaster more courageous, he wouldn’t dare.
