Yeah I just caught up a few weeks ago too – this show is best enjoyed in binge-sessions, and I try to limit myself to 2-3 binges per season, but I haven’t been able to help myself since the last binge-sesh and have been watching it weekly for the last month or 2.

Of COURSE there will be a new season! It’s my fav donghua of all time and I have been following it for years, so there had better be! Usually it’s a few months maximum between seasons (I think there was an 8-month break at the longest but the rest have been 2-6 months), and sometimes there’s no real break and it’s just a week or two, so we shall see once this season is actually over.

you’re not seeing things~ i just remembered a likely candidate. it’s gongsun wan’er the ghost mother second personality, the one mc met in sword valley, who’s looking for bai xiaochun wherever he goes and continued to haunt him the reason her having xiaochun’s look is that baiting. so yea~ your eyes didn’t fail you, just that slight animation on xiaochun’s eyes made the difference i guess.

There’s another site where I watch donghuas that Xin doesn’t upload here, but the subs there are terrible. So I mentioned there that the subs here are much better, and after that I saw some names from there in here and several new people (they also barred me commenting there after that, I think they lost a few viewers because of me saying their bot subs were xxxx 😅).
Don’t get me wrong, it’s great having new people in, potential new friends! But I think some that not everyone that followed is as nice.

I mean, if people are downvoting just to be pricks, then obviously they have no life worth mentioning, but personally I have never cared if people up/down vote me.
If they are from another site and downvoting just to downvote, then they are not only petty but they also lack quality relationships in real life which leads them to seek validation and/or judge others through the engagement of strangers online via passive “clicks”, which is rather sad.
