I like to make a reminder sometimes before I begin. That although this is fiction, we speak as if it were real for the sake of the conversation that comes with everything we write. That being said..
I thought the MC had better character. But it appears when he should be following through on his word. He turns into a douchebag with no regard for life. It looked like he had forgotten about the promise made or never had any intention of keeping it in the first place. That women has every right to be upset as much as she is. Especially after the reminder she gave him. And instead doing as promised. He tried to shut her out.
Back when the MC got into that dimension where is located. It seemed to me that she was trying to get out, but all attempts have failed. If that’s her hand, we saw at the end. I’d say she got so pissed off about being lied to. It gave her the extra strength to escape that dimension. If so, I’d like her publicly admonish the MC for being totally untrustworthy.
All he did was make a speculation about stopping the research in a round about way to avoid showing interest. He has the balls to think she’ll accept his slighted words to his boss while sitting on the fence when he said them. And will stop what she’s doing.
He’s way to secretive about everything with his cultivation, its ridiculous to make his promise more difficult than it needs to be. He just needs to tell his boss the women is not dead. She is trapped in another dimension and has been trying to get out. That she contacted him, while he was in deep meditation. and asked him to tell those scientists to stop fucking around with her body. They’re harming her by stealing her blood which holds energy that’s been sustaining her it until she can get back. They’re hurting her. Cultivators know that its possible to be contacted by someone who is far stronger while in meditation. The MC lies all the time. What should he care about saying another.
