I am frustrated because it seems like his Saint-Fiend form is just going to be his normal body with the coloured eyes, blue hair tips and the mark on his forehead, even though this show has done a really good job of making saint transformations look really good and unique to each person and also body refinement modifications, even having flippin’ stands/personas for full powered saints and body refiners(General Jinyu when he became a Purging Saint) and still the saint-fiend ends up being the boring way it’s portrayed in the source material(manhua/webnovel).
Man, this doesn’t even make sense because even the fiend lord had some kind of extra entity that would fight with them, that’s how it was for Ji Yuantong, for the crane guy who is the princess’s bodyguard, Ge Xuan himself, even that random girl in the last part of the trial who had killed her seniors and was already manifesting her second corpse but then MC exorcised her seed and then she realized what she had done and then killed herself. Bruh, even Meng Chuan had a corpse worm as a Fiend Lord and a Dharma Lakshana as a saint, even though it just sat in the clouds.
Now that I’m ranting, I remember that his dad and his uncle as body refined saints also have something that works like a Dharma Lakshana, his dad has the blood lion and his uncle has the raven, I wanted to see what a saint-fiend’s ‘buddy entity’ would look like or what their transformation would look like. Man, I really hope it’s just showing like this because he just created this power and not because this is how going to continue to be into the future.

Now I get why they deviated from the novel abit. IET books tend to focus on theory of cultivation so much, like this one. This arc in the novel was mc just cultivating on Yuanchu mountain and it would have been boring so adding this plot was necessary.
Now the next arc will run parallel to novel since Meng Chuan at this point had left the mountain as a great solar godfiend.
Should’ve stuck to the original story..They made the story way too complicated and honestly made it trashy. As someone who has read the novel, I can’t cope with this trashy storyline.
