As for Needle G’ma trying to get rid of MC: that’s how it works! Most anime and donghua that have MCs adopting kids do it when the kids are at least 3-4 and can walk, talk, and wipe themselves – most MCs wouldn’t want to raise a baby from birth because the constant care needed is a TON of work and not glamorous at all. Before kids can walk, talk, wipe, and feed themselves, they are anything but cute and a HUGE burden! My kids (I have 2) were a LOT cuter and more pleasant and enjoyable to parent once they were at least a little self-sufficient. Even shows that have kids magically appearing or hatching from eggs or whatever make it so the kid can already talk and walk; having them appear as a baby almost NEVER happens.
It really isn’t glamorous. Children can feel like literal parasites at times, yet so many people still want to have babies. I dislike how the media portrays raising a child as an easy, magical, and wonderful experience when it’s far from it. The amount of effort, energy, and lack of gratitude that goes into parenting is immense. You’re responsible for another living being that depends entirely on you for every little thing.
That’s why I also dislike when people say that raising a pet is easier or not the same as raising a child. If you think that, it’s clear you haven’t raised one from infancy. Sure, it might be easier once a pet is well-trained, but the challenges are very real in the beginning.
But we’re also not going to talk about trying your best not to fuck them up and perpetuate generational trauma.

Inconceivable. I say that, knowing just how disgusting, taxing, and frustrating raising a baby is. I don’t think any of them were parents before then. So it was an entirely different type of struggle. Especially raising a baby you didn’t genetically contribute to.

Since it wasn’t specified how much of it is to be taught, the word “the” in “the language” explicitly implies the ENTIRE language, that’s what has to be taught. I don’t know if it’s a translation related error or just uncharacteristic stupidity, but this is not even close to being a loophole even if they bend over backwards trying to justify it.
Also the oath was “I, Du Tian, swear(…)” so unless the “main body” has a different name, “Du Tian” encompasses not only this “strand of consciousness”, but even the “main body” of “Du Tian” because they are Du Tian and that’s the name he swore on. And unfortunately, this one simply cannot be a translation error, this is just stupidity.
