Tbh, I’m glad they are out here, finally leaving the Great Ruins. It’s been a long time since they have set foot outside, right?? They only did it now when Qin Mu left the place. This kid really did influence the majority of them to be here.

Overall the animation seems to got some improvements in certain parts too (although the buildings’ railings seem to have no texture sometimes 😅)
The new mid transition break got a weird shot though that looks like so AI blurred for some reason (the extreme long shot of a palace/set of buildings a few shots in, after the golden skull structure)
Princes plan going to complete shit was pretty funny, along with Ling’er screwing over the Nui’er and the Qilin, at least that is one less thing to worry about.
But i love that 7th is so determined to use her Gifted Hammer just because QM gave it to her and not because its suits her. She is going to be a scary powerhouse given just how much mass that thing has, and shes already got to grip with flinging it around like its nothing. She will need a heavier Hammer haha
So this is the solidification of their relationship arc, along with hopefully finding Butcher’s Body. BS and QM like all disciples just want their teacher to be happy and whole.
Yeah, it was a fun little episode even though nothing much happened. It’s just them spending time being wholesome.
I gotta wonder if it’s like, an integral part of the 7th princess’ journey that her weapon was initially chosen by QM as a parting gift

It’s still kinda weird how she was in the abandoned ruins like a scout with not much serious guards considering the kinds of monsters (figuratively like QM’s grand parents, and the literal demons) when she barely had cultivation & combat abilities before this

It just looked to me like they bonded and goaded Nui’er to follow along with their plan to get the Loong Qilin’s drool, and Nui’er just presumptuously thought it’s female for some reason

if we compare background with others, then Qin Mu probably got highest tier security, old monsters always guarding in dark, the way he is raised from childhood in disabled elderly village is really worth cherishing, lot of resemblance with Shi Hao when he arrived as a child in stone village…
except that in shi hao case, it’s only liu shen.. as for xiao ta that guy he always tried to get profit from shi hao, so i wouldn’t say he’s particularly protecting him, but more like a dealer. liu shen is truly his teacher and his protector at some point tho.. she’s what they called sacrificial god (ji ling).. hmm forgot the details here.. but number wise, i guess qin mu got more teachers and protectors, but in form of grandpas and grandma.

Ooo.. well remember last ep when he got beaten by Zhanzi? Ok Qin Mu beat Daozi so more or less we can be sure that his skill is superior to that Chen guy.. Plus, we’re talking abt fair fight here not fight to death with no rules~ What did Ba Shan say? He’s gonna bring people from noble dormitory of Imperial College. Turns out Chen is from common dormitory! In any case, Ba Shan’s attitude here of trying to be fair is quite nice and refreshing… 🔥❄❄🔥
