What’s wrong with Cui Chan ?
(As always) I don’t understand some of the things But this was great.
Cui Dongshan (the small Cui Chan) had formed a bond with Chen Ping’an, so his Dao is closely connected to that of Chen Ping’an. Furthermore, the Sage of Literature has forced Cui Dongshan to become Chen Ping’an’s student so that he can learn what it means to be a good person. However, Cui Dongshan does not want to be forced to follow Chen Ping’an but wants to be the one to “guide” him, and so he tries to manipulate his state of mind by presenting him with a perfectly legitimate dilemma: the fact that good deeds do not always produce only positive results. Cui Chan entered the well and exterminated all those who were behaving in a bullying and insulting manner towards the population. Cui Dongshan’s actions have a valid basis but are too ruthless, and in fact the Sage of Literature tried to punish him (I’m referring to moment 10:40 when Cui Dongshan starts cursing him, calling him “old man,” the Sage of Literature, reminding him that it was he who claimed that humans were evil by nature and that Cui Dongshan was simply using evil methods to punish the wicked).
