And saying he doesn’t care about Wang Ping ignores a major part of his character in the novel. If the adaptation fails to show that properly, that’s an adaptation criticism not proof that Wang Lin doesn’t care.

they fucked the original novel story. Where did the market come from in Thunder Celestial Realm? When did Thunder Celestial Messenger meet the Blood Ancestor in the novel? when master flamspark send wang lin and li yuan to the Celestial Storage?
Yeah the market bit was weird. And as for the other parts, they had to do it because the battle with blood ancestor was very spaced out in the novel, it wasn’t a direct battle, with many side quests in between..
Wangs friend said, it happened during their jump through the teleporter. They somehow ended up there. Apparently something went wrong with the energies etc.

I actually read/listened to the novel, so it was kind of confusing for me too when in the regular episode, the battle with blood ancestor was skipped. But this movie put things into perspective although there were added scenes that is not in the novel – I guess it’s to make the storytelling of the movie complete or at least to make things make sense. Still, it’s a great movie.
Btw this version on Xin cuts the part out where the blood daughter revives from a blood pool and obviously she says ”WANG LIN !” she is going to look for revenge on our boy so pray for her.
Our boy has quite a few celestials to slay, and its been so long since we saw the main body cant wait for when they finally reunite, also the slave whore was that whore from back then, hmm so thats what happened with her, these sluts would have better luck trying to seduce our boy than to kill him .
