True they didn’t have a giant wedding. But they did express their love and exchange vows between each other. And it’s the reason he spent all that time looking for her. And went through the trial so they could be together again. Her memory restoration didn’t work like the others. But we do see she’s starting to remember bits and pieces.
What about his first love who was forced to let him go in the beginning of the series. Ye Chan also needs to find her. It took a long time to get him to listen and understand why she acted the way she did that day. And even then he still acted kinda like a prick. At the end when she died. She sacrificed herself for love. It wasn’t for country or anything else.
Having a love rival will press her to remember how much she really loves Ye Chan much faster.
Forced? She chose ambition and broke up with a man who loved her deeply in the most humiliating and hurtful way just to make a statement. If she cared about him at all she could have broke up with him in private. As far as I see it she lost all right to him and should keep herself out of his sight. She was hostile too with no need. Only this author’s love to have every pretty girl in the story fall in love for him, and make the MC act dumb and too soft is justifying her non-clams on him.
