Even their leader is somewhat crazy himself. A broken man, from the looks of it. I mean, his daughter is slumbering forever, who can blame him for doing these vile acts?? And just like that, they destroyed another sect fam. I feel like this was their whole plan all along. Using the beast tide as an excuse to gather all of these people just to finish them all off. Except Xiaofan was not in on this little plan of theirs. Even their disciples are getting sacrificed for this very reason.
At least Xiaofan is still sane and cares about the people who follow him. This is still too much, though, I know they are doing this for the good of their sect. But sacrificing your people?? that ghost king is really annoying honestly. but what puzzles me is that why don’t xiaofan use that move that combines three way – daoist, buddhist, demonic into one? i feel like he should be able to subdue one of them and run. but xiaofan doesn’t struck me as someone who cares about his subordinate that much. after all, they’re mostly demonic people. or am i wrong here? lol i need to reread the source material again. maybe they added this part or i missed it.
I think it’s because those people follow him fam and he feels like it’s his responsibility to take care of them. Even if they come from the demonic sect.
