lastly is burning incense valley. they do almost every possible way just to dominate the world behind the scenes and they use righteous sects as their branding to cover their greed and hypocritical nature, which can’t be more obvious. they secretly use fish-men to do evil and they’re looking for the heavenly flame inheritance through the shaman guys (who were the follower of linglong) and also the formation, the thing that was exploded by xiaofan, to handle beast god. they’re going to silence people if they must. pretty sure they did a lot like that. every time they encounter problem, they’ll just label demon cult as the perpetrator. since the formation that collect heavenly fire was broken by xiaofan, they intended to sacrifice common people as the foundation for that formation. while they didn’t do it for real bcs of one thing after another, it’s true that they have the real intention to do it. i mean, even every disgusting conduct is wholly revealed to this guy called li xun, since he’s the eldest disciple. and i bet the guy is the type who ends justify means and willing to do dirty work, that’s why he managed to enter the inner circle of those dirty elders. yep, in fact, burning incense valley is not much better than the worst of demonic cult. what’s worse is that how they’re being hypocritical and dirty. in fact, the meeting discussing beast god, they seem to have good intentions by reminding people but they actually will retreat during the battle and hide behind. they didn’t show their faces at all. it’s clear that they want to reap benefits.
let’s discuss the li xun guy, in what aspect he’s good? none. he’s just a stronger cannon fodder. he can’t match xiaofan at all. it’s a shame that xiaofan didn’t immediately go for the kill, like twisting his neck maybe not just kneeing him and beating him with a stick like last time. even lu xueqi despised him for doing ambushes. he though he’s doing favor but lu xueqi got so angry, that she destroyed the building, pretty sure he got hints. but then those elders are something else. you remember that scene when b*st*rd sect leader dao xuan was reading that letter from yun guy of burning incense valley right? yep, it’s about the rumor between gui li and lu xueqi. during the last fight it’s obvious that each of them has opportunity to land the other critical hit but they hold back. if people are not blind, coupled with the rumor spreading around in qing yun sect and probably some spies… why would they humiliate her in front of these people? it’s because they’re despicable. in fact that master of xueqi, forgot her name… she also is despicable in handling this matter. not even sure what the li xun guy wants. is he seriously imagining the impossible? honestly, why is there nobody killing this guy already? i mean probably kill the whole burning incense valley? this sect is a cancer to the world. they should be eradicated for real.

FR – I’ve long been saying that Western media needs to look to the East on how to craft a strong female character – West’s idea of a strong female character is a man-hating self-proclaimed girl boss with zero flaws and zero femininity, whereas Eastern media (donghua, anime) have strong female characters who have all the same flaws and weaknesses of the strong male characters, and they can be feminine while also being strong. Being a strong female doesn’t mean having zero flaws or weaknesses, it means thriving despite any flaws or weaknesses, and THAT makes a far more relatable character for young female audience members than some OP Mary Sue BS like Captain (barf) Marvel or Rey Palpatine.
