Production took a good novel and butchered it for the ratings. This competition was a stepping stone for MC, nothing more. It has been made more of than should have been. His entire time at the school was short since it was just a means to an end to get him into the real world. It is sad and maddening.

Why viewers hate the current TGR is because the studio rushed the story, character development is inconsistent, the character designs are copied or inappropriate and more plot holes than explained. . .
Animation became mediocre, fight scenes are flashy but no substance, for example MC had a lot of arsenals martial techniques, formations and physical boost but he only uses 2 or 3 and always dependent on luck
In season 1 we saw how great strategist MC is but now it’s like an automated NPC
why are all the small sects/clans so stupid as to believe Mu Chen stole their points while they all know how horrible and greedy the ones instigating the conflict are
i think im gonna leave this donghua for a while till it almost finish, the way the plot progressing is very slow. as usual, mu chen will get his ass-whooped first before getting power-up in every single fight. this ji xuan guy is too damn annoying, i just want to see he getting killed by mu chen
The number of episodes this competition has taken versus how long it took in the novel is such a waste of screentime. But then BTTH written by this author has also been butchered. The only saving grace is Wu Dong Qian Kun. Absolute Resonance and The Divine Ability Practitioner is his newest novel. Lets see if they get the same hack job.
I was not happy with the last three or so episodes of season 6 in Wu Dong/Martial Universe. They rushed to the end like theres no tomorrow.
Lin Dong getting 5 or so powerups during the fight, just because he sucked lightining cock and then overpowers the enemy. That was so bad and so cheap. Makes the entire point of cultivation and how it works more than just redundant. It literally breaks the Lore and viewer expectations completely!
