YES YES YES YES!!! IT IS FROM A WHOLE DIFFERENT DONGHUA NAMED “QIN’S MOON” OR SOMETIMES “THE LEGEND OF THE QIN” Chinese name is like 秦时明月 Qin Shi Ming Yue. I’ve been a big fan of it since 2007, actually that donghua opened me to the world of Donghua. It predates most of the doghua we’re watching rn. Really old, for me it’s the godfather of modern donghua. The story is fuckin good, I really recommend everyone to try it. There’s a whole channel in YouTube named Mooncakes Team, they have all the episodes from S1 to S6 Part1, and the studio also released S1 S2 remastered with modern graphics. The graphics, the story everything from qin’s moon was ahead of it’s time. They also have a prequel serie which was released later it’s called Nine Songs of the Moving Heavens or something like that iirc. As much as I’m a big fan of current donghua like wang lin and others, for me none of those plots come close to qin’s moon and nine songs. It was very closely based on ancient qin dynasty. Now I wonder why AnimeXin never upload it tho, such a fuckin uranium to miss.

Full Story Summary (Spoilers)The story follows Li Changshou, a young man from modern Earth who dies from a terminal illness and is reincarnated into the ancient cultivation world before the great Fengshen (Conferred Gods) War.
Unlike most cultivation protagonists, Li Changshou is extremely cautious. He believes that staying alive is more important than fame or glory. He spends centuries quietly cultivating, mastering formations, poisons, pills, clones, escape techniques, and countless backup plans. He never fights unless he has already calculated that he cannot lose.
His peaceful life changes when his master brings home a new junior sister, Lan Ling’e. Protecting her gradually pulls Li Changshou into conflicts involving immortals, demons, dragons, heavenly courts, and powerful ancient sects.
As the story progresses, Li Changshou secretly becomes one of the most influential strategists in the world. Rather than relying on brute strength, he defeats enemies through planning, deception, formations, and careful manipulation of events. Even beings much stronger than him often lose because they underestimate his intelligence.
Eventually, he becomes deeply involved in the coming Conferred Gods War, one of the greatest conflicts in Chinese mythology. He works with powerful immortals, protects his friends, and tries to reduce unnecessary deaths while avoiding becoming a pawn of the strongest beings.
In later arcs, Li Changshou uncovers larger conspiracies involving Heaven’s Dao and ancient figures manipulating the entire cultivation world. He realizes that many events have been controlled from the beginning and must decide whether to continue being a cautious survivor or step forward to help shape the world’s future.
