Being the devil’s advocate it does sound like LF was the child of destiny. But in to be fair, Zuo Shan Ke did not care who it was. He just set up a test, and whoever passed it would be enough to become his disciple.
So from another perspective, Luo Feng 100% earned this opportunity.
However, the crafting of the story is pretty good regardless of which ideology you accept. Its a complete story that was planned by the author from the get go, at least that’s how you feel when reading it. Regardless of how the author did it. Every piece fits perfectly and in a way, everything was according to the plan of Zuo Shan Ke. Of course, Zuo Shan Ke would have been happy with anyone from any race succeeding, but it was precisely because everyone and everything had failed that Earth was one of his last plans, which ended up working.
And even then, it would take trillions of eras for his plan to reach fruition. As right now, Luo Feng has essentially just started out on the path of truly great beings. In a way, his journey has just begun. Until now, he didn’t have any master to truly guide him in the right direction. Since even True Gods like Huge Axe Creator, who is the leader of humanity, does not know how to actually become a true god himself. He just stumbled onto it. Whereas Zuo Shan Ke knows that and more.
True that Huge Axe doesn’t know much.. nevertheless it proves his talent on being able to stumble upon true god realm.. but it’s also cuz teacher Origin is sealed.. I mean teacher Origin is the most talented human being (before Luo Feng).. if not, current human race is gonna be more glorious than ever.. But true that Zuo Shan Ke knows better since he’s actually a reincarnated god king.. this is later will be better when LF obtain the generic inheritance (the ones that can be spread) of Duan Dong River tho..
Teacher Origin is basically like the matured shonen protagonist. The fact that he reaches God King without having any crazy opportunities is the insane part. He was the path creator and LF got the advantage of the safe space that he had created before being sealed away.
Its the same concept of LF being the 8th lord. He could never have broken the law using force in such a short time, unless there was Xing Mang there to collect every world class life form.

true.. basically predecessors give way for the successors like luo feng and xue ying to push through and become overlord.. anw.. still feel epic that LF is kinda stuck between near invincibility at the end of SwS 2 novel.. he’s still unable to beat the 7th statue even with treasures advantage.. like he already created 2 kinds of origin chaos dao.. first being, great dao of life-destruction with focus on life (70%) and destruction (30%).. and second, origin chaos (hun yuan) saber dao: destruction (87%) and life (13%)..
like idk why they insist on this kind of percentage, kinda make sense but the number is unexplainable and sorta vague imo.. plus, when he first created a new great dao, i was thinking this is neither life nor destruction but after the influence of the star tower scale, he got this thought.. now he was focusing on great dao of matter but he got stuck, only reaching ultimate level after 300M epoch.. so, he decided to continue sharpening his saber techniques..

BTTH shit is ass anyway. Just wait until everyone and their grandfathers become Dou Sheng and it becomes so common that you question yourself as to why it was so special in the last episode for him to become one.
