Of course, they are giving us flashbacks during their fight. They love trying to make things dramatic and sad since these 2 were fellow disciples once in the beginning, so I understand they had some sort of friendship going on. 😔 😔 😔

Tbh, this donghua doesn’t talk a lot about everyone’s cultivation, bro. Because I can’t even recall Zhang Xiaofan’s current cultivation level. Also, we’ve never seen him cultivate. He has been traveling throughout this story. We only see him cultivate when he is trying to heal his injuries.

The funny thing about the flasbacks scenes reminds me of Obito and Kakashi from Naruto Shippuden, during the fight, the scenes would switch between the adult and young version of themselves.
There is even a part where the friend of the mc pushes his younger version on the side when he loses his sword, a ” reference to Obito pushing his younger version on the side and keeps attacking Kakashi ” 😅
So, from the preview of the next episode, the mc is going to meet once again his future wife, she seems emotionnel and happy too see but the friend of the mc is behind her, asking her if she’s going to betray the sect too. 🤷🤦

l know she wants to stay loyal to the sect because her master who treated her like a daughter.
But she can’t keep hiding her feelings to the mc.
l know that he still thinks about Bi Yao because she saved him in he his darkest moments, but i think he cares about her in a friendly way, not in a romantic way, that’s why he wants to save her, because if i was really in love with Bi Yao, he would already forgetten Lu Xueqi. 🤷
Yeah, it’s also because he feels responsible to what happened to Bi Yao fam. He feels obligated to try and find a way to bring her back since deep inside he still feels like he owes her his life. And yeah they don’t have that type of relationship him and Bi Yao were pretty much just close friends but she did sacrifice her life for him. 🥲🥲🥲 Still sad either way of the outcome.
Yea let’s just hope that this time the conversation between the mc and Lu Xueqi i will go well, but i have a feeling that she will once again choose to stay in the sect.
