Damn they’re all impressive. Can’t believe it’s been 4 years. And for those new to the story there’s also a side story with 9 episodes called Purple River: Hidden Interactive Drama (ZC: Yincang Hudong Ju from 2022).
The side story is a more intimate setting between the three sworn brothers and what keeps them together.
Is it just me, or is this season a bit more goofy/comedic than Season 1? I know Season 1 had occasional silly moments, but it really seems like they’re piling them on trying to turn what was largely a serious donghua into a comedy.
Or am I just misremembering Season 1?

And sure dilin is quite attractive man, but MC is MC, i respect his sharp mind… hehe

what excites me is that there are 52 episodes in this season. That will be a lot of story telling and much for us to see and love. The wait has been long but oh so worth it.

brooooooo, so excited, waited yrs n yrs for this since season 1. It was one of the best alongside BTTH 3 yrs agreement, Soul Land water god trials wereg oin on ig, and jade dynasty season1. Loved this one at that time. Finalyyyyyyyyy…. Yipeeee. Btw, am that person with dp of blue fox, standing one foot over magical ball. if u remember. 😀

This series does disappoint me a bit in how it treats armor like it isn’t even there and serves no purpose – like, swords, spears, and arrows shouldn’t be going through plate armor like it isn’t even there; that would defeat the entire point of wearing hot and heavy iron/steel armor, after all…
IDK – this season seems a lot more “comedic” than S1, but I could be misremembering? S1 seemed a LOT more serious in my recollection, but then again my memory is crap, so maybe I’m wrong?
The harsh realities of war but death is a part of the fight to win. Love the kid with his beasts. Our boy has a new role of Saviour to the masses with his mask to unite the East.

even though you think it’s a slop fam this one still got a new season while other work out there only get 1 season and that’s it. That means this one has a fanbase from the looks of it.
As you said yesterday..everyone has their preferences.. this is mine i am not saying others should skip it too.. its just my personal opinion i had to fast forward all 3 episodes since the story nor the mc managed to grab me at all.. not a fan of s1 either but yeah i am not denying it has fanbase.
The only thing sloppy in S1 was how armor does nothing to protect people; aside from that it was great. S2 seems a bit goofy and comedic in comparison though, which is a rather sharp shift in the tone of the series, and I’m not super excited about it. S1 had some silliness here and there, but so far S2 is straight up cartoonish.
From the looks of it, Zichuan Xiu is not from this family, but from Holy Light Empire, now he became saviour to the masses, King of Light overnight, Far East will soon be under his control, demons will suffer, as well as his clansmen who framed him as traitor…
