if I remember correctly he just reached level 4 recently and that’s after the incident of slaughter in jin kingdom, which happened in the beginning of season 3. even then, using his 3rd level power, he managed to reach half-step level 5 power by paying the price of his life-force using 7 devil slaying blade. now, he’s level 4 early stage. even if he is using the same move, to actually wound level 6 is a bit overreach imo.. i need to check novel again on this point.. worse is that this story got no wiki.. no one documented his progress. so..
but Im pretty sure in the episode he used 7 demon slaying blade, a fighter can’t manifest avatars until level 7
