Great-Li is also n ass for hiding the truth 😒
Now I feel bad for her 😫
Wonder when Mc n Fairy Ning-Yao(Sword-gal) will meet again~ 😗
Smoll Cui-Chan met with Mc n the gang by a total “coincident”, huh? Totally was not camping there 😆
Also, who is he calling “Master”? Mc? 😲
Anw, was just about to say how it’s sad that the gang is loosing numbers, cuz even the Donkey left, but fortunately, looks like three members will be joining now! 🤩
he’s calling chen ping an master because chen ping an got his master hairpin aka a legacy to become scholar deity so chen ping an automatically became master of cui chen
Here we go next episode!!! They kind of already spoiled it a little bit with the preview, which showed that they got saved by someone. I don’t know why they do it like that cause it was a massive giveaway, but at least it’s good knowing bro didn’t have to use another of his Sword Qi for this crazy woman.
This donghua doesn’t mess around with its animations, bro, sheesh!!! It looks insane when you watch it at 4k. 🔥 🔥 🔥 And looks like we got ourselves another Sword Cultivator. Tbh, it would be nice for him to learn the way of the sword since we’ve only seen him punching and kicking people as of now.
Yup, there we go, haha, he really tossed him a freakin wooden sword to battle skeletons lol. 😅 😅 😅 I guess it’s not weird cause even A’liang uses a freaking bamboo as a sword, and it’s hella powerful. It’s not the object that’s powerful but the one using it. 💪 💪 💪
Ngl, but we are meeting some insane people in this series, and Chen Ping’an is nowhere near their levels!!! I really can’t wait for when our boi can aura farm by himself. I know we are only at S2, bro, so it’s going to take a while, but I know once it comes, it’s going to be worth it. It’s like how Han Li and Wang Lin started, and look at where they are now. 😎 😎 😎
They really have some strict rules in this world that they follow. And you are telling me this is the time they are finally handling this matter about what this Madam Chu has been doing with her killings?!? Just when Chen Ping’an and his little group got to this place, they finally took her seriously. I smell something fishy going on here. 🧐 🧐 🧐 I guess they’re taking to heart what A’liang said, if someone messes with these kids, he will destroy everything here. 💀 💀 💀
Damn, they really went up and gave us a flashback as to what happened with her little lover. This is how they made the episode even longer cause of this animation flashback. They are really giving us a sad and emotional short?? We are indeed lucky that this donghua runs almost 30 minutes, fam. Because if we are being honest, this moment was unnecessary if you ask me. 😅 😅 😅
Okay, and here I thought we were going to have another companion who is a drunkard protecting them. I guess he has his own agendas to follow, but at least he gave Chen Ping’an something if trouble finds its way to them again. 🫡 🫡 🫡 And he is actually the owner of that donkey they’ve been traveling with, what?!? A’liang must’ve stolen that from him or something lmao. At least this old man is being gentle with his disciples, tbh I didn’t like what he did before. 😤 😤 😤
Ayeee!!! Our boi is thinking about his girl, and yeah, she did say that the man worthy of her is a powerful Sword Immortal, so I guess Chen Ping’an is going to aim for that one someday. 😏 😏 😏 Looks like our boi already got his priorities straight hahaha. Time to learn sword techniques, I guess, let’s go!!! 💪 💪 💪 Sigh, and here comes that annoying kid. I’m already starting to hate him. And shit, this next episode preview. Our boi going to learn that the outside world isn’t a merry place. 🙏 🙏 🙏
In the first season, Chen Ping’an purchased a couple of mountains and rented three (I think) to Ruan Qion (the blacksmith and new sage in Lizhu Grotto-Heaven). In exchange, he promised to protect Chen Ping’an while he was in the territory of the Dali Empire. Since Chen Ping’an left on a journey to accompany the boys, Ruan Qion asked the Fengxue Temple sect (the sect he previously belonged to) to send someone to escort the boys and provide protection to them. The person they sent was Wei Jin. While Wei Jin was on his way to meet the boys, he ran into A Liang (who came to see the person who “got something he thought was very good for him”)
Tenth realm is Qi cultivation? That doesn’t seem right
In Jian Lai, there are two cultivation paths: Qi Cultivators (who require the Bridge of Longevity/Immortality) and the Martial Artists’ Path.
The path of Qi Cultivators is mainly divided into three groups, each consisting of five levels:
-5 LOWER REALMS: 1st Copper Skin Tier, 2nd Grass Root Tier, 3rd Willow Tendon Tier, 4th Bone Qi Tier, 5th Furnace Molding Tier
-5 INTERMEDIATE REALMS: 6th Abode Tier, 7th Sea Observation Tier, 8th Dragon Gate Tier, 9th Golden Core Tier, 10th Nascent Soul Tier
-5 UPPER REALMS: 11th Unpolished Jade Tier, 12th Immortal Tier, 13th Ascension Tier, 14th Dao Integration Realm, 15th (equivalent to founding a Teaching/religion)
The path of Martial Artists is mainly divided into three groups, each consisting of three levels:
-3 BODY REFINING TIERS: 1st Clay Embryo Tier, 2nd Wooden Embryo Tier, 3rd Mercury Tier
-3 QI REFINING TIERS: 4th Heroic Spirit Tier, 5th Gallant Soul Tier, 6th Martial Courage Tier
-3 SPIRIT/SOUL REFINING TIERS: 7th Vajra Body Tier, 8th Far Roaming Tier, 9th Mountain Summit Tier
-Then there is the 10th Tier called End Tier, which is further divided into 3 levels: Qi Sheng (Abundance of Qi), Gui Zhen (Return to Truth), and Shen Dao (Divine Arrival).
-Finally, there is the legendary 11th Tier called Martial God Tier.
Normally, it would not be possible to practice both cultivation paths at high levels, but there are specific techniques that allow it. Furthermore, many qi cultivators also practice martial arts to strengthen their bodies, but without going beyond the 6th realm of martial arts.
Among the qi cultivators are the so-called sword cultivators. These are people with a good aptitude for cultivation who are born with one or more innate flying swords. These innate flying swords have unique and special powers. [For example, one of Chen Ping’an’s innate flying swords, called “Moon in the Well,” is shown in the very first episode. This innate flying sword’s power is to multiply into hundreds of thousands of flying swords.]
Sword cultivators are the cultivators with the highest killing power and have a very robust physique, second only to martial artists. Sword cultivators have the possibility of reaching the 14th realm either by choosing their own Dao path (just like all qi cultivators) or as “pure sword cultivators,” which represents the pinnacle of swordsmanship. To do so, they must develop an appropriate Dao heart. The mindset must be that of a swordsman, straightforward and decisive, free of excessive calculations and convoluted reasoning (obviously, this doesn’t mean being stupid and/or acting recklessly).
Attention: being a cultivator capable of bare-handed combat doesn’t automatically make them a martial artist, just as cultivators who fight using swords don’t make them sword cultivators. This is important because there are martial artists who fight with a sword, and there are martial artists who are born with an innate flying sword (and therefore are sword cultivators) but they don’t practice qi cultivation (which is obviously a waste).
In terms of strength, the 11th realm of martial artists can be considered on par with the 14th realm of qi cultivation.
On average, the path of qi cultivation is considered superior to that of a martial artist. This is because not only does the path of qi cultivation include more levels, but also because compared to a martial artist below the 11th level (who can live a maximum of 300 years), qi cultivators can live significantly longer.
The Qi Cultivation path requires talent and the presence of the Longevity Bridge to draw qi from outside, while the Martial arts path requires not only talent but rather hard work and proper guidance from an expert: in practice, you should think of a martial artist’s body as “iron, and all the blows it receives are like the blows the blacksmith gives it to create his creations.” So, to move from one level to another, a martial artist must often find himself in life-and-death situations. To maximize this path, being mentored by a very high-level martial artist is practically guaranteed success (“practically” because if the disciple is weak, he’ll die under those blows). In fact, in the first season, when Li Er was about to stop fighting Song Changjin because he thought he’d accidentally kill him if he continued fighting.
ON AVERAGE, a good martial artist is stronger than a Qi Cultivator of the same level. However, this isn’t always the case, as talent and the solidity of the martial artist’s level foundations must be considered (there will be situations where martial artists, through training, find themselves on the verge of breaking through to the next level, and if their foundations are solid enough at that point, they will have the opportunity to skip multiple levels, like going from 3rd level directly to 5th level. However, this isn’t advisable because it would leave the martial artist with a very fragile 4th level foundation, which would compromise their future success in reaching higher levels), this doesn’t apply to qi cultivation where skipping levels is just cool.
For martial arts foundations, I’ll give you an example: think of the martial arts path as the construction of a high-rise building, where each floor corresponds to a martial arts level. If a floor has a solid foundation (and therefore the body is well tempered through combat), then there is hope of moving forward to build the next floor (and therefore of advancing to the next martial arts level). Therefore, you understand that if a martial artist want to reach the maximum martial arts levels (which for now correspond to 10th level plus 11th level, which is the legendary level), they have to START RIGHT AWAY by tempering their body very well, otherwise “the building cannot support the construction”. In the first season, after the fight between Li Er and Song Changjin, Li Er asks his master (Mr. Yang) why, despite him and Song Chan both being at 9th level and Li Er’s martial arts foundations being more solid than Song Changjin’s, only Song Changjin managed to break through to 10th level. At that point, Old Yang points out that Li Er was not in a life-and-death situation and therefore was unable to break through to the next level.
Everybody pretty much have their own shit to deal with it seems. 😅😅😅
Or someone is planning something. Keep in mind that these are young sword cultivators with great talent and a real chance of advancing to the five upper realms.
Here we go again fam another tragic love stroy that made a person a villain, unfortunately that’s how it goes in the world that they are living in.
I really like the 2d animation that they did during the flashback story, it reminds me how in A Record Of Mortal’s Journey To Immortality, that technique is also used during a flashback or an explanation of a technique. 🔥🔥
I mean it was a nice backstory animation fam but it definitely wasted our time a little bit. 😅😅😅
Yeah i know. 😅
How are we wasting time? We’re literally on a journey right now. I love that the story is taking its time to fully build the world. This show isn’t just about the MC, the world of Jian Lai feels way closer to a classic wuxia novel than your average trash xianxia. Let it cook.
At least there’s someone here with good taste.
WEI JIN, the drunken immortals 1 sword slash from the beginning slashed through the mountain , at the end of episode Cheng PING gets inspired by the slashed mountain,
ah LIang the greatest immortals 1 sword slashed the whole moutain range where the girl was sitting at
When Cheng Ping gets stronger, his 1 sword slash will shatter the WORLD
one episode with different backstories wow i’m amaze braa such a great donghua .
Glad to see MC and that girl thinking about each other.
Sword immortals are Aura farming as all ways
So is Madam Chu’s lover the master of Qi Jingchun? Their situations sound oddly familiar.
no, the guy is not Qi Jingchun
As long as the series continues to follow the novel as it has, this next portion of the trip to the Academy with CD along for the ride is going to be crazy funny and mind numbing at the same time. CPA our sweet cinnamon bun is going to have his patience sorely tested. lol
